Where or what show did thi dog Margie come from? The only Margie I remember was Gale Storm or the movie Margie Thanks in advance TIA

I used the name as a way to introduce a pet for Gomer. As in this is ' my little Margie'.

The fun in telling the story is trying to keep it going, so you use the titles with ..umm ...artistic freedom...

I love that Post..it keps getting better and better.

BTW...I will be going on Christmas Break (I'm off for 17 days)...so I will contribute to the story when I go online.

It really doesn't matter which shows people prefer to others, what matters is that the viewer is enjoying it. I remember when I was younger I'd feel sorry for people who didn't do the things I enjoyed and then, with years, came a little more wisdom. I now realize that one person can have as much enjoyment jumping out of a plane as the person watching the tv. show. It's all relative, there's no order of taste. What makes you happy is the important factor. I watch several reality shows and enjoy them completely. I also enjoy being in a museum for hours and hours, go figure.. It's what makes us unique.

Wasn't she the winner of "America's Top Dog?" When Gomer said that yes she was, Barnaby mentioned that he is a scout for "America's Got Talent" and he would love to have Margie on next year's show. Well, Gomer got so excited, he was stuttering and stammering and grabbed Barnaby's hand and shook till it almost fell off. Barnaby gave Gomer his card and said that he would get in touch with him for an audition. Gomer grabbed Margie and they jumped in "My Mother the Car" and he was telling Margie about all the the things they were going to do if they won. In the meantime he had to work on some new tricks for the show.

I would like to see a Carol Burnett marathon on some station. I'd be glued to my seat all day and night, and so would DH. The skits with Burnett, Conway, and Korman were priceless. And the time Carol basically dared a young man from the audience to come up and sing, and he did, and did a WONDERFUL job with "What I did for love." And the time Carol had Beverly Sills on the show, and sang with her. Chills! A locked chord whenever I hear it still gives chills! As a kid, we didn't have TV. But later, I remember George Goeble's gentle humor, and Tennessee Ernie, and Perry Como. Yes, I miss the variety shows. Who knows what we'd see if that format was brought back? I don't even want to think about it.

Not going anywhere while I'm on break. DH and I may take a drive to Joliet (3 hours) to get ribs, Chinese and tobacco supplies.

Right now we are snowed in...think I will go to the story line.
