Got a new camera? Here's a little tip for you...

A friend of mine lost her swanky little Canon recently. In it was a media card with every picture she's ever taken on it. (She also lost her book, so had no idea of how to delete photos.) So now, except for the time 2 years ago when I burned her photos to CD's at a Kodak machine, she has nothing, no photos, no camera.

I would suggest that for people who take a lot of photos, take a picture FIRST of an envelope or a mailing label or your business card, with a note next to it- "If found, please return to John Smith, 123 Grand Ave, Smithville FL 32901, $50 REWARD for intact camera! PLEASE at least send me back my photos!"

At least then you'd have a chance that it would be found and returned if you lost it. There are still some honest people out there. And even if they kept the camera, MAYBE they'd send back the card. (Half-honest peeps?)

Katie said that she would do this from now on. (I'll believe it when I see it, but at least I planted an idea in her head.) I wish there was a way to put ID on the camera, but mine is so little and there really isn't room. So inside is the only way, I guess.

What do you think, good idea? Going to do it? I will when I leave on my little road trip, since I know I won't be downloading them for a while.
