Prayers and good thoughts appreciated today

My daughter is having her gall bladder removed today. She's about 1500 miles away, so I can't be there with her. My son-in-law is taking the week off to care for her while she recuperates. All prayers and good thoughts are appreciated.

Prayers going out to your daughter. The newer surgeries usually are very good and recovery goes very well. She should be back home very soon. Let us know how she does.

You got it, Jel. We mothers worry, but gall bladder surgery is pretty routine these days. I know many people who have had it and done just fine.

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. She may get out of the Critical Care Unit, and on to a regular floor, if they can find a room for her. They're bringing in a infectious disease doctor too, but the antibiotics seem to be doing the trick. She's on Leviquin (sp) which is one of the most powerful one out there (I think). Also, checking why her immune system is so low. This makes about the 3rd time this winter with pneumonia, for her. She never takes care of herself when shes sick, and lets it go to long. Long story, but she has her 2 grown sons living with her and her husband in a 1 bedroom, (plus a sm. computer room) apt. The oldest is to have hip replacement tomorrow around 1:00. He's been on steroids for a long time, and broke his hip jumping off a pickup at work. Sorry, getting off the topic here. Again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They are so appreciated. Thank you all. I felt such a calmness that I knew it had to come from the good thoughts. Well, the judge refused to hear our case today. We got all settled in the courtroom and our attorneys briefed the judge on our case and then she said she needed more information on our retirement accounts before she would continue. So, basically nothing happened. After we get the information she wants, they will give us a new trial date. So.... the drama continues. I do appreciate all of your good thoughts.

It's completely understandable Nancy, pulling in to lick your wounds. I'm the same way. You've gone thru a really tough time and it'll take a while to get over the shock of it. I hope that the sad times fade away really fast and you find some peace and start to remember just the good times with your sweet Mom. (((((Nancy)))))

She's fine. She and BF dropped by around noon, I gave her the soup, some hugs,my ice bag and ice. She's swollen, cranky (her natural state HAHA) and groggy. But it's over and I saw her and she has a great BF. I'm sure he will give her good care. I did notice a bag of McDonald's food in his car. (Funny, she never eats meat. Does McD sell a veggie burger?) She's going home to her apartment to rest, then back on the treadmill tomorrow-college and work. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and good wishes.

Thanks everyone. Mom's do worry! I know I sure do! Just got the following update from my son-in-law.

"out of surgery and everything went well. She is waking up now. Doc said her gall bladder was in pretty rough shape and it was good she got it out."

The poor girl has been hardly able to eat anything the past few weeks, it had gotten so bad. She kept hoping they would have a surgical opening free up so she could get in quicker, but it just didn't happen. Finally made it to the big day. She should be home later today. At least I understand they do these all outpatient now. Please pray for a speedy and uneventful recovery as well. Thanks to all!

Thank you everyone, for the prayers and good wishes. My son-in-law said my daughter was up and moving around pretty good and doing fine except for being really sore. I didn't talk to her in person, but hope to do that today.

With Dusty, glenda's son, your daughter, Jel, and hopefully Dink's horsey and Georgy's Squirrel, Henry, and probably some others I have left out (help me out if there are,) it sounds like happy endings at the kitchen table this week. Can I get an Amen?
