Tiny Request for Prayers/Good Thoughts

I'm a little embarassed asking for prayers for this. My daughter 21 YO Vicki is having 2 teeth pulled today. She called me last week when she had a terrible toothache. She got to our dentist and got prescriptions for painkillers and antibiotics and made an appointment with the oral surgeon. Today's the day she's going in (ten a.m.) . They told her she'll need general anesthesia. Her boyfriend (not me, wah!) will be driving her. I plan to drop by her apartment with some bean soup I made for the hurricane. She's scared because she's never had any anesthesia, only novocaine shots. Please cross your fingers for Vicki. I'll let you know how it went. She's a real trooper-believe it or not, she is going to try to go to work this afternoon. I'm sure thats a no-go.

You got it Jannie, Praying that everything goes well. How lucky she is to have caring BF and Mom. Personally I prefer gen. annith, to novacain.

Sending special thoughts and prayers for her. I hope she decides not to go to work today, and just rests. Don't worry, Mom--she will be fine.

Greetings Pattico. I'm sorry that you have this extra concern to deal with, these days. I'm sending thanks for the good news about the one cousin-in-law, with some hopes and prayers that the healing may continue well. Also some good hopes and prayers for her sister who is travelling under a black cloud at the moment, that there may be good news there as well and the worry unfounded ... but with such a history, especially when the girls were so young when their Mom was so ill, they must be feeling an extra measure of worry. Sometimes it warms a wounded heart to know that strangers are concerned and sending good wishes, so I hope that you will let the girls know of our concern, if you feel it appropriate. Thank you for your concern and assurances, folks. I'm having some trouble hitting the eye with the drops, rather than the cheek ... plus knowing when I've dropped one drop into the eye and not dropping more. I got some stakes in to support the tomatoes today and had thought that if I could get all of the stakes in before the op. I could string the lines to hold the branches up later. But I doubt that, as the branches are quite large and heavy. Two rows are nearly 48 inches apart and not only can one not walk between the rows at present ... one can't even see down through there. We've had nearly record rainfall for summer, already ... and there's quite a lot of summer yet to come. They say that the nurseries are having a great summer - have been planting throughout the season, as things are growing unusually quickly. It rained rather heavily over the weekend ... and when I drove down a track near the garden this evening ... I got stuck! ole joyful

Thanks to all! I just left her, & I'd say she's... better. definitely better. She's sitting up in bed, fussing about the tubes, about the nurses... She'll be going in to Big Baylor on Monday for a pacemaker, which scares the bejabbers out of me, but she told the doctor to just do it. so I'll be keeping y'all up to date so you can keep sending out those powerful healing prayers & vibes. I am most grateful to you all.

She's at the dentist now. I just spoke to her. She decided NOT to go to work. I told her to ask for some gauze to take home. I've had wisdom teeth pulled and remember a lot of oozing afterwards, not a lot of pain.

After the affect of the anesthesia wears off she'll be glad she decided not to go to work. She'll just need a little TLC which I'm sure she'll get. ((((DD))))

Glad to hear all went well. We all knew she wasn't going to work, maybe not even tomorrow. It's a miserable thing to have done, but good for her for taking care of her teeth. They have a lot of miles (meals?) to go! LOL! Glad to hear it went well. When I had my wisdom teeth out, my mom brought me two roses, one for each tooth.

No prayer request is tiny. They are all special to all of us. My Big prayer is on its way. Be sure and get all the instructions clarified. Soup is good. Just give her hugs.

Jannie, no request for prayers is tiny, if something is worrying you then friends want to help. I hope she does well!

Well, I hope it's over by now. Sure hope she did okay. Most dentists, and probably all oral surgeons, give their patients strict instructions. She will need to follow them to avoid a dry pocket. Glad you told her to ask for gauze.

She's fine. She and BF dropped by around noon, I gave her the soup, some hugs,my ice bag and ice. She's swollen, cranky (her natural state HAHA) and groggy. But it's over and I saw her and she has a great BF. I'm sure he will give her good care. I did notice a bag of McDonald's food in his car. (Funny, she never eats meat. Does McD sell a veggie burger?) She's going home to her apartment to rest, then back on the treadmill tomorrow-college and work. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and good wishes.
