Good Morning everyone.........

I got up early thanks to Eddie....not alot planned for today....I have to pick Ivy up from the vet she got fixed yesterday so it was a long day for Eddie and Charlie without their little buddy this is the second time ever she has been gone from them (the other for like a hour is all) you could tell Eddie was sad last night he wouldn't even play....

Cleaning house and going to walmart to pick up a few more things for Christmas........

I am now a Coffee Making Fool....I called my Mom the other morning *B loves her coffee*...so got her RECIPE LOL and I can now do it...who knew different coffee tasted different and whats up with a coffee scoop???????? WHO KNEW.....LOL

Now I can do it Brian is sooo proud of me hahhahahah...

Need to go to the bank, then go grocery shopping for food for Christmas day. Going to SO's daughter's house.
I NEED to bake cookies and make chocolate covered pretzels, so I think cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom will be a priority. I haven't been feeling well, so things have gotten a bit out of hand.

Morning grinch.... what kind of furbabes do you have??? Hope all went well with Ivy. Daughter has soccer practice this a.m., then heading to Hallmark to buy a hostess gift, then painting the laundry room then get ready to help in chaperoning a teen christmas party. Lots for me today. This is my DD (13) first boy/girl real party. Her friend is giving this get-together and I'm curious to see how it goes. They are all so excited.

We actually have SUN this morning -- been a while, although south of the city has had sun and 70's. We may reach 60F by afternoon. Rain returns tomorrow, and the next day, and...oh well. The creek at the side of our house is running high. The Fox and Des Plaines rivers west of us are flooding already. Grass is greening. Deer are sticking around. I took DH to the morning train and will meet his return train at 12:30. He 'commutes' to attend a Tuesday lecture series at NU. Our Westie is anxious for a chance to leave p-mail at the station this afternoon. I'm just doing usual housekeeping chores. I'll stop at the bank and CVS before meeting the train. I need DH to help me flip our mattresses before changing our bed later. We have a king made up of two extra-long twins; don't know how we'd ever flip one big king mattress! DH is having 'restless leg' again. It may help to do the flipping.

Good afternoon everybody--another scorcher here today. Supposed to get up to 91 degrees. Woke up this morning to some very loud noise outside. They were pressure washing the house getting it prepped for painting. After it dried, they put a sealer on it. Now they're painting around the windows. Sure is nice not having to do all that ourselves. I made a cucumber/dill salad for dinner tonight. We're grilling hamburgers and having leftover potato casserole. We don't use buns for our burgers anymore. I usually just saute mushrooms and carmelize some onion to serve on top. I'm having a lazy day. May take a nap ;-) Hope everyone's having a good day--and getting more done than I have.

Good morning. It's 84.6Âº here at 9:00am with an expected high of 101Âº. I met Dorothy at a local cafÃ© for breakfast this morning. I only ate a small amount as it wasn't very tasty. Our usual eating place is closed for 2 weeks. They do that every summer since the owners are from Mexico and they go back home to visit. This year they are taking an extra week to put down new ceramic tile and do some other remodeling to the cafÃ©. Dorothy, Lisa and I plan to go shopping to get them a gift for the new look. I have nothing planned for today. will stay home and maybe clean off my book shelf. I've been planning to do that for weeks now.

I've got to go to the store so I can get some groceries and then finish my dips and cheese balls.
I have to get a string of white lights to wrap around my grapevine wreath.
Pick up some crisp bills to put in the money holder cards.
Get a gift for DGS Jayden, and DD's MIL.
Going to wrap presents
I have 1 load of clothes left to wash and dry.
I see it's snowing outside, so I'll be doing my running early in case it gets worse. I know it's going to get very cold. With the wind chill it'll feel like -25Â° to -32Â°. Poor DD and family come in tomorrow when the expected high is 0Â° and the low is -12Â° actual (no wind chill).

I have to finish the valance for the baby's room, and then will work on the sweater I am knitting for the other daughter.

Besides that... I don't know yet.

Moring to you all...everyone I see is super busy huh? I won't go do my Chrismtas food shopping til tuesday when the kids are out of school....I gotta have help carrying it all in LOL....
Orie I have 2 doxies and a golden retriever who wants to be a doxie.....he does manage to curl in my lap like they do LOL......
Leslie all I can say about your weather is...I am glad B is looking at the next road job being in Shrevport...it has been cold here but nothing like that......course you know me...I do love the snow...course as usual all we got here so far is the lovely ice.....Stacy

Stacy, we got the ice first. About 1/4 inch. Then the snow on top of that. Needless to say, I didn't go anywhere yesterday. But, I'm getting dressed and heading out to beat the crowds.

Good morning. It's still snowing here. I just have to get to the grocery store today. Nothing else planned.
