I'm not a photo editing genius, but I just want to say in my opinion the umbrellas don't detract from the picture. In a way, they enhance it. Also, if you remove the umbrellas, aren't the hands that hold them going to look very odd?

Try posting this question on the computer forum. Those folks are great at this type of question.

I would agree, removing them would look odd since 2 of the 3 of you are actually holding the umbrellas. I would leave them, it adds color.

Very professional.
But the hands look out of place.

I would crop the picture, taking as much of the umbrella's out as possible.

While the edit is really good, people will question why their hands are up so high. It doesn't look just right. I'd leave the picture as the original. There's nothing wrong with it and there's a reason why their hands are up on their chests.

Taigen, thanks! That looks better than mine. Do you know how to make it have a "clear background". then I could try it with different backgrounds i have on the other computer. If not, that's okay- I appreciate your help!

I don't think the hands look too odd. The lady on the left looks like she she is holding onto her shawl and the one on the right just looks like shes holding up her bag. Good job taigen.

Amazing!! It's just wonderful what they can do with a picture and it shows you really can't take for granted any picture you see published.

Janie_ga...glad you like it. It was a pretty quick job but you get the idea. Here is the photo with just the women no background...but saved as a jpeg it is white.

If you save them you should see the difference although on here they both appear as white backgrounds.
As I said this is a hobby of mine I enjoy playing around with.
Marygaily...you are quite right with all the technology and talent out there it is truly amazing what people can do with a photo. I very seldom put photos of my family on the net.
