You should always take your best undies when you travel, Joyful. Anyway, remember TSA might inspect your luggage, and who knows where that could lead.

Where/when are you going?

Yep, file those slack unmentionables in the "circular file".

I hope you have a wonderful trip and an uneventful flight.

New ones might be kind of itchy. I think you wil whiz thru security. ? You know what I mean.

I on the other hand take my oldest pairs on trips. Then, as I have 5 days left... I start tossing them, after I wear them... instead of bringing them home. :)

Have a GREAT trip Ed!

Moni

Don't give him any ideas Moni-he would decide to bring them home anyway!
Where are you going?

When are you leaving Ed? Have you made your mind up about coming home? I understand there is a direct flight from your brothers to London. Maybe it stops in Winnipeg. Are you flying from here or Toronto? I presume out of Toronto but maybe you will fly or go Robert Q to Toronto.

All the best. Keep us posted. We do care!!!

I will give O.J. the benefit of the doubt and say take them. I'm with Moni. Get out those new ones DS gave you, give them top spot in your dresser for when you return and pack those disposables. Waiting to hear all about your trip.

But ... one of the respondents on the earlier thread (don't remember whether it may have been Moni) said that she takes her old ones and drops them off/leaves them behind after use and recommended such a strategy to me.

I rather expected some of you, at least, to support such a suggestion.

Expect to fly early Fri. London to Calgary, arriving just before noon, then to Edmonton, arriving about noon.

Dinner with SIL's family Fri. evening, bigger party to celebrate her 80th on Sat. night.

Planned to reserve this afternoon, but needed to validate credit card and too much buzz on the line, today - and I need to do it from home phone.

ole joyful

I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Sue

Thanks for letting us know.

Are you flying back from Regina?

Wishing you a good flight.

I wonder if our friend will be your Captain. Wouldn't that be something?

Yep, Ed, it was me. How many days will you be gone? Just take that many "old ones" and an extra pair from the new ones.

But, you have to leave the old ones behind... in their trash!!!!

Promise?

Moni

I do as Moni. Buy new before my trip, take old and dispose of old daily.

Funny story about that... A few years ago I went to spend a week with DH's (very thrifty) aunt in Florida, helping her move from her home into a retirement center.
I knew there wouldn't be an opportunity to do laundry, since she had sold her W/D, so I brought my oldies, disposing of them each day in the garbage can outside the kitchen door. Imagine my surprise when I got back to her house the last day for the final load, finding my old undies laundered and IRONED, nicely folded on top of my suit case. She had somehow found them and hand laundered them! I got one of her (many, over the years) "waste not want not" lectures, along with a stern warning that the size of those undies would surely bring me kidney and bladder problems, and that people might get the wrong idea if they saw them. Not sure who she was referring to, and I chose not to go there. LOL
She is gone now, and though it seemed like all of us had times when she took us to task over one thing or another, she was a dear lady, and we miss her!

I guess my oldies weren't old enough for her, and they were put back into service for a while. I just didn't have the heart to dispose of them again just then.

I have a friend who was going on a motorcycle trip with her then SO. He told her she couldn't bring back souvenirs since there was not enough room. So she packed all her old clothes and everyday she would throw away what she had worn. She then had plenty of space to put her souvenirs. LOL

Costly!

First ... to buy the souvenirs.

On return home - to replace the wardrobe.

Or ... go naked ... but in this area, in this weather ... that'd be heavy inducement to stay home ...

... pretty well through till spring.

Which would induce quite a lot of savings ... probably enough to cover the additions to the wardrobe with little, if any, of the Triple C - Costly Credit Card debt.

Arrived Edm, five hour flight, about zero C (32 F) but 50 m p h wind, pilot said, but I haven't been outside - info at airport letting me use their computer.

Brought the good uns - so I figure that I'll take 'em home: didn't want to have to walk like a crab, especially with a back that's giving a bit of trouble - talked to doc yesterday, he gave me some exercises, I figured I didn't need pills.

Dinner with niece, nephew, bro/wife ... beginning celebration of Sis-in law's 80th birthday, which is to continue tomorrow.

'Bye - need to get off of this computer.

Glad you are having a good time !!!
