I asked about that too....he's fully covered on medi-cal now and she will have no lingering medical debts they say...I hope they are right. As far as a will, he really has nothing to leave behind. He gave his truck to his sister, that was important to him that she get something that mattered to him. She just turned 17 and is really having a tough time with all of this. They are very close. He has no bills or huge bank account, so nothing really to will to anyone.

That sounds wonderful to me. I like simple weddings. Mine was, outside in my parents backyard, the whole thing. My aunt made my dress, my great uncle performed the ceremony. We played croquet and badmitton at the reception. The food was simple like this one posted. One maid of honor, one best man (corresponding genders LOL). Years later that maid of honor got married, and we traded places. Her wedding was also simple, it was fantastic. At a state park, the ceremony in a clearing, reception and lunch in the lodge next to the clearning. It was a beautiful day in October. Throughout the ceremony leaves of every fall color and shape were falling, nature's perfect touch. It was beautiful! She was barefoot, too! She said she looked for shoes, but didn't find anything she liked and comfortable, too, briefly considered her hiking boots, but decided barefoot would be best. LOL. That was 7 years ago. This month, her husband is on a climbing expidition to Mt. McKinley/Denali in Alaska!

I was invited to the wedding of friend's sister, along with another friend of ours. The bride was a pretty obnoxious, spoiled brat but we were very good friends with her brother and kind of felt sorry for her because she didn't really have any friends and wanted the biggest wedding she could have. The ceremony itself was fine but when we got to the reception, the MOB set my friend and me to work bartending. We were horribly embarassed (and had no idea how to bartend) but we muddled through it. What made it even more embarassing was when the MOB insisted on paying us at the end of the night. I have no idea where she got the idea that we were there to tend bar but suspect the bride had something to do with it. As an example of how the bride's brain worked (or not) we visited her home a while later. I was helping her with something in the kitchen and noticed a bunch of tiny labels sticking off of a windowsill. When I asked her what they were doing there, she said that her parents had given her some Waterford glassware they had gotten on a trip to Ireland. When she served guests she wanted everyone to know they were Waterford so she would leave the labels on the glasses, then take them off before washing them and then put them back on.

It was a Pokemon theme wedding, but I think she pulled it off with out it looking like a kid's party (I was a tad nervous) We made 75 mini flower arrangements by hand the night before and now hate lilies! The guy said, put them in warm water and they will open in a couple of hours... lies!!! LoL big fat lies! I painted the picture for people to sign as the guess book! Proud of myself for that! The last pic, Max caught the garter and this was me telling him what traditionally happens after the guy catches it (of course he is too young so no putting it on the woman who caught the bouquet!) Did learn that a bucket of closed lilies will make a beautiful outdoor cut flower bouquet after a few days!
