Well..CeCe (the CAT) ate my gas bill!!! WTH?

Wonder if the Gas Co. will accept that excuse..and let me slide this month? LMBO

Oh..and he wasn't happy just shredding the bill..he did the same thing to a birthday card!! Me and htat cat need to have a long long talk!

Being a retired school teacher, yepster!

My friend, has an 8 month old golden doodle, and said her glasses she uses for driving at night were ALL GONE. The doggie did it :o)

So many negative comments on this healing plant. Yes, the ”root” should only be applied topically and should not be ingested, however the leaf is used in many cultures as tea when dried. it has many medicinal properties. It has been historically know to aid with stomach issues as well as bronchial issues. Please use responsibly and within reason. Like any herb, it should be discontinued when the issue is resolved.

I got a puppy from the local shelter a few years ago, she was a real chewer. She ate my fruit trees. She was a yellow lab mix, and the sweetest dog, but she ate a cherry tree, a peach, & a pear, chewed up a bradford pear pretty good too. These were young trees, but not little tiny saplings, they were about 3" across where she chewed them down, then pulled the tree around with her everywhere she went. The dog was like a goat, she would chew anything. We have the underground fence & she would chew the collar off her companion dog & eat the collar & must have swallowed the batteries. Went through 3 collars before she stopped. She developed cancer at a young age, I suspect her diet had something to do with that. I really miss her, shewas the sweetest dog I have ever had, but boy was I mad when she go busy.

You should see your gynecologist so you can be told that the cause is hormones, and there isn't much they can do about it. That's what they told me and I had the problem for years. They thought I had Rheumatoid arthritis, and many other things. That was over 25 years ago and things have changed. My doctor said that many women have this, and they are just now reporting it to the doctors. In the "old days" since there was no pain, they didn't go to the doctor. I was advised, and found it to be true, that diuretics did not work. They caused a rebound effect. It did not work to decrease the amount of salt to less than about 3 grams a day. Rebound again. I drank water and exercised every day. I either played tennis or walked/ran. That did more for me than anything. I don't remember how far or for how long, but it was more than taking the dogs for a walk. It was at least 30 minutes. I still drink quite a bit of water, but I have always exercised so I drink about 3 liters a day. I ought to mention that my mother and grandmother had the same problem, but there was never a diagnosis. They called it idiopathic edema. According to the gynecologit I saw, it is common, caused by hormones, and I should enjoy life and not worry about it. But that was me (I) not you. I hope your doctor says about the same thing. It did last for years. It was worse in the summer and when we took long car trips. At one point I tried to lower my sodium, my body adjusted and I got upset thinking "what the heck!" We went out and had lobster tails with butter. That was a big mistake. The sudden addition of salt to my diet really hurt my feet. Good Luck Sammy

Kframe: Was your dog a Polish Lowland Sheepdog? Sometimes I wonder how my pup, well. . . he's 16 manages to reach as far as he does on counters. I think all these dogs have a thing for whatever is denied them on the counter, whether it's in the kitchen or in the bathroom. How could a hair brush with synthetical bristles possibly taste good? BUT; here's one that will really make you cry. I had baked two of Ann T's cream cheese danishes, one was consumed by humans who then left the house. On return the other had been completely consumed by my four-legged friend. How he managed to pull that pan off the counter is beyond me. (He is smaller than normal for the breed, but I've seen his "reach and swipe" in action.) Nancy

My kids could and did legitimately say that the rabbit ate thier homework! It was turned in with all the chew marks and missing pieces, and a note from mom! It was a workbook page or something that they couldn't just re-write! At least it was still legible.

I believe it...Georgy eats everything in sight. I borrowed a book from a friend and she ate the cover. Had to buy a new book. I had a library book and set it on the floor, left the room for 30 seconds. Had to buy a new library book. I am constantly removing obstacles from her mouth. Loves pens, pencils, golf balls, paper towels...she'll eat almost anything but when I try to give her a ginger snap to settle her stomach so she can ride in the car, she refuses to eat it. I guess we have to train ourselves better so we don't leave anything lying around.

The gas company may not be happy with letting your account go into arrears, and charging you a late fee on your next bill. I suggest that you call the gas company (customer service, or billing) and explain that a pet mangled the bill. Likely, they will inform you of the amount and where to mail the payment. When you make this call, it would be prudent if you could have a past bill in hand to retrieve information such as an account number.

Expect to be "encouraged" to change to automatic payment directly from your bank account. You'll probably want to resist this.

yep ,my girl kittie, Shadow chews up paper if she thinks I do not pay her sufficient attention.
If I am cooking and have to keep shoo-ing her away, she will find something and start tearing it up...but only when she's mad at me!

Can you phone the gas co. and pay by credit card?

As I'm a senior, the bank doesn't charge me a fee when I pay my utility, credit card (issued by them) and other major bills there.

I imagine if you call the gas co. to find out the amount owing and take an earlier bill in to the bank, if you can pay through them, they'll write the amount that you're paying this time, initial it and stamp it.

We can't pay utility bills at their office any more - must send a cheque, pay at the bank, etc.
