That is exactly what happens to me, more often that I like.
Sometimes when I post the daily threads, the goblins think that I'm spamming, and I can't post anywhere. I get directed to the home page (the equivalent of teacups in the past.)

It happened to me today again. Have to write to them via the Contact us button at the end of the forum pages.

I think some of their software picks up (sometimes anyway) when a poster posts the exact same thing more than once.

It can easily be remedied by using the date in the subject line

If anyone can help figuring out what is going on I would appreciate it.
Has she tried or is she able to contact GW by going to the Contact US link found at the bottom of any page? If she can't contact them, you could try contacting them on her behalf.

she thinks she must have said something wrong in a post because when she tries to post it just takes her back to the home page.
If she did, which I doubt that she did, she should have gotten an email from GW. Has she gotten anything from them that she can reply to? Did she by any chance post the same thing in 2 different forums within a short period of time? If so, the site might have thought she was a spammer and automatically locked her out.

No she didn't get an email about anything. I will ask her about what she was posting. I'm thinking she may be reading all this.

So how long is one locked out from posting?

If she's contacted GW via the Contact us button, she should hear from someone. It's up to them to un-block her.

She'll just have to keep trying to post, and one time it will work!

the only thing I would suggest is to clear the cache on her browser that sometimes will flush out cookies that could cause things like that to happen.
In firefox go to tools, then click on clear recent history and choose to all to clear and on time period select everything.
I will just post this link which is great it tells how to clear that stuff on every browser so it is a good link to save.

other than that I would also suggest the contact button. It likely has nothing to do with anything being said these sites have filters that are set up to prevent what they consider spammers and sometimes it filters out the wrong stuff. I sure would not take it personal at all this kind of stuff happens on all sites.

Also this has happened to me that I can only log in on the main page of Garden web for some reason trying on an individual forum would not work so try going to the main page of GW and logging in from there.

I had the same thing happen to me last night after I posted a few times. I kept being sent the the garnden web home page. I couldnt' even email someone from their own page. It sent me to the home page. I was able to click on the technical difficulties link at the bottom, send them an email and I go a reply from Tamara this morning and it was fixed!

Not knowing browser, OS, firewall, other programs running, any error message or the like it's only shots in the dark. Direct connection, wireless, dialup? Have you rebooted? Made any changes to computer & settings, including Windows Updates, other program updates, etc? If using an adblocker have you turned it off? Tried a different browser? I use Opera so I remain pretty much exempt from the myriad of issues I see posted here. Cleared cache & temp files? Have you tried accessing from another computer?

Once GW is aware of a mistake, they're pretty quick to fix it. If she's been "banned" they do "un-ban" you pretty quick.

It's happened to me several times.

I'm currently doing the daily posts with the date in the title. Lydia mentioned that, and that is the only thing different between my posts previously, and the other daily posts.

Does anyone know if she has even contacted GW with her problem?

I still haven't heard back from her. I emailed her to tell her to read all the suggestions on the post but no word from her.
Maybe she isn't feeling well enough to play today?
I'm not real sure what she was trying to or did post to make her think she was unwanted here or what was said that she may have gotton in trouble for. I do know when she emailed me she sounded so sad, and wanted me to tell you all she would miss you by not coming here anymore.

All she has to do is click on the link at the bottom of
the KT that says technical problems

tell them that she keeps being sent to the homepage
when she tries to post. they will fix it for her.
