A prayer chain for BullDinkie

I have a friend who needed a kidney transplant a few years ago. Before getting the transplant he almost couldn't put one foot in front of the other because of lack of strength. Kim is feeling that way now.

I didn't ask her, but I don't think she would mind if we started a prayer chain for her. Let's try to use our faith, our prayers and our positive thoughts to get our girl a new kidney and get her well.

To Kim, to Jannie, to my friend Marcy who needs a new heart...I am bowing my head and bending my knees to pray for my friends who are looking to heaven to be healed!

Lord hear our prayers and take care of those who must have your glory and presence in their lives at this time....

Deb, Remy , Denise and everyone, thank you for the well wishes, I am feeling pretty good , not looking forward to radiation , starts next Wednesday, I have to do 33 treatments ... keep me in your thoughts and prayers that they do go by fast and I hope the fatigue associated with it won't keep me from my garden ;-) Denise, I have a dr appt Friday in DC, go figure ... but I hope I can do something in the yard if I get home before the warm day ends ... Iris PS Georgetown University Hospital is a wonderful hospital ! the doctors , nurses and everyone else who has taken care of me there are top notch ! Best care I have ever had !

Thank you so much, everyone. Tuesday, I am so terribly sorry about your grandchild. How very painful. Texask, that is very interesting. My friend and her children all have it now (pertussis) and are current with their vaccines. One of them (8 yrs old) has it the worst-- throwing up every night, a lot of spasms, etc. Perhaps they were stored wrong? My mom's dr says there are new strains like the flu so they can't always keep up. Paulina is OK. Recovery is very slow. Some days I think she is a lot better only to have her have bad spasms again, but not so bad they are life threatening. Crying triggers it so we keep her very happy, but she is also sleep-deprived, so it makes it tough. Thank you again.

Thanks for your prayers and good wishes. I hate dialysis but I feel okay. The doctors monitor me closely and give me additional meds (Epogen and Iron) to pep me up. I'm on a list for a kidney transplant. Just got a letter from my insurance that it's pre-approved. All I need to do is hang on. The list takes anywhere from two to seven years. Unfortunately, my family members can't donate, so I have to wait for a cadaver kidney. My motto is "Before I'm 60."(I'm 56, same age as that woman who recently swam the At;lantic, now there's a challenge!
