They are out now and I had one for lunch. I don't know just when they came to our McDonald's. I do like them once in awhile. The holiday pies are out too. I like them also.
I've never eaten the McRibs. I think I might try a bite of someone elses sometime just to see. I'm just happy we have the soups in our area, but only for about 4 months out of the year.
Funny you should mention that! I was out running errands today and saw the sign at McDonald's so I pulled through and picked one up. It is rare that they have them but I do occasionally like to have one when they are available. They are of course nothing like real ribs but with the bbq sauce and stuff with the fresh soft hoagie bun I do like them for a rare treat. This will probably be my one this year.
Don't eat hot dogs, either. I am not a fan of McDonald's. Maybe once a year we stop there to get an egg/cheese/sausage McMuffin before heading out on a long trip. I would rather go hungry than eat a McRib.
You can count on In n Out to serve real food (something the chains/franchises don't consistently do). But I don't like to give them my money, I think it's REALLY inappropriate that they put bible citations on their wrappers and containers.
Sometimes it's unavoidable. They do a good job of locating right at freeway off-ramps and it's reliable food when driving out in the boondocks. When there's a reasonable alternative, I choose the alternative.
When my father was a teenager, he got a job in a butcher shop. He said he saw things that made him sick and he didn't eat meat again for many years. For example, the redness on ground hamburger is artificial If you poke at a lump of ground beef, you'll see it's not red at all, the meat is gray inside.

While there is some hamburger than can have some red dye in it - what you are seeing is actually the oxygen that goes through the packaging making the meat red. The grey meat inside of it has had no oxygen, so it has turned gray. As long as it is fresh and does not have an off smell - it is fine and normal.
Don't know. Never had them. The only thing I like ate McD's is their sausage Mcmuffin. I'm sure it's really bad for you but I only have it once a year at most.
I like McRibs- they came out years ago, were discontinued, then McD's keeps bringing them back for a month or two. I might buy them once or twice, but certainly not too often.
I tried them before. Eh, I can do without it. Don't eat at McD's too often. Although, I will drive thru and get a vanilla milkshake every once in awhile in the summer.
I DID enjoy a McRib maybe once a year....but as of yesterday when my son showed me that picture of the frozen, gray blob that turns into a McRib, I don't think I can get that image far enuf out of my head to enjoy another one.
Well, I was starting to get hungry for one, but after reading all the comments I think I'll pass. I think I'll just go and buy some fresh ribs and barbecue them myself. LOL
