Don't grow that particular Armeria, but I am not a huge fan. They are floppy if not planted in sharp draining soil and always get overrun with weeds (which are near impossible to pluck out of there...) I don't have that Astrantia cultivar, but I say thumbs up. I love all Astrantias ;-) Campanula persifolia 'Alba' is a nice bellflower, but pretty common so I wouldn't personally special order it. Very easy from seed. Campanula glomerata isn't rare either. Some have found it to be an invader. I haven't, but then again, mine is planted in a "difficult" spot. ;-) Echinops has been kind of invasive here. Plus the seedlings arn't the easiest to dig out. Just my personal experience. Wouldn't plant it again... I would skip the DBM Geum, or all Geums of the chiloense species. I've found they tend to resent wet winters and will live a couple years at best. Any of the coccineum, rivale, or triflorum species (or hybrids of...) do much better in areas that have wet winters/springs. Long lived so long as you divide every few years. Delps are short lived for me. I am a lazy gardener and don't like to replant perennials often so don't grow them anymore for that reason ;-) Ditto what felisa said about 'Red Cauli'. I have tried it twice. That thing has been ONE STEM for several years now- that thing barely makes an attempt to survive, let alone thrive. That is about all I grow from your list... CMK

We do reuse and recycle many household items here too. My kids are all built differently so we don't hand down many clothes. I donate clothes in decent condition to the school or the thrift stores. People are funny about used things. It can be quite entertaining at times. I've run into people who wouldn't be caught dead shopping at a garage sale or thrift store. Those same people do shop antique stores and estate sales which are glorified garage sales at higher prices. Then there are those people who don't shop thrift stores because that is for poor people. That's laughable. Truly poor people probably couldn't afford the prices at some of the thrift stores. I shop there because I the thrill of the hunt and it is possible to find a bargain on some things, but usually not clothes. I live in one of those areas where people often overprice their garage sale clothes. I can buy new for less. Overall, my best clothes bargains usually come from the mall during the 75-90% off sales. I wouldn't be too offended because someone doesn't want your hand me downs. I've gotten offers before. Honestly, I just didn't want to deal with the extra work. Sometimes when you get clothes ahead, you're storing it for a while even possibly a couple of years. Sometimes less is more when you're trying to organize and manage a household.

I've had my heart set on a Great Dane since I was four.... S/o and I were finally looking into adoption, and the first thing he said was 'No horses in the house!' :( So I went and got a Bullmastiff instead... :)))) Now, he says Capone doesn't even look that big to him anymore.... maybe I should start working on him again? We are looking for a companion pup for Capone... hmm.

Your grass is probably dead due to the cutworms usually treated with BT Powder..(the "Organic" solution). But the larva that BT kills (turn into Japanese Beetles) are a big draw for the wasps to do their thing. You may take this opportunity to plant that area in Native Plants loved by pollinators... GRASS IS THE ENEMY... Maybe a tree for some shade. Lots of Yellow Jackets nest in the ground. I love to kill "Ground Hornets" with boiling water from canning... Also edge my front sidewalk with it!
