Friday we became Great Grandparents for the third time...

Her name is Amarah (if I'm spelling it right) that is how it sounds to me..middle name Jane.

Haven't got to see her yet. When I do and when I get a pic I'll be posting it...

Feeling really old...hehe

You are suffering a terrible heartbreak about the loss of yur dear son. I'm sure he was a fine person. It sounds as if you really are not sure of the cause of your son's death. I think it would be helpful to talk to people about it, but only those you know will be your friends and not judge you or your son regarding the reasons or confusion about it. Only those who will listen with care, concern and compassion. If you have a good friend or family member who could help you in this way, I think it would be helpful for you to talk about it. It's hard to carry these issues around with no one to share them with. If you have no one else, maybe you could talk to a grief counselor. As for the snickering co-worker, is it possible you mis-understood what she was saying, or that she was talking to someone else? It just sounds like such a low thing to do. Whatever it was, try to forget it. That type person is not worth thinking about. I'm sorry you had a bad week. Yes, you will always be Darryl's mom, forever. You still have a bridge to him, and it is your enduring love. Take care, and we're glad you've come here to share.

Habanero type heat although it seems to last longer because the pod is so large and it takes longer to eat. The flavor is different though being milder and a little more earthy. I like these and will be growing them again.

I NLLIA. Was told about this thread by a GW friend. We have done many cycling trips and are on one now. Drove to Kingston Ontario and took the train with our bikes ( 4 of us) to Halifax. Have been cycling since June 9 . Have seen a lot of the Maritimes! We took the train to shorten part of our trip. We are in Quebec City tomorrow then riding our way back to Kingston. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. The issue in Lex is very complicated and hurtful to many . We sold our previous home and moved nearer family. We now have a 7 month old granddaughter. I won’t be posting again but wanted to honor the kindness shown here on GW towards me and my family. Thank you

Oh Congrats Grandma. Unusual but pretty name. Is the accent on "mar" and is that pronounced mar like car, or like mare?

Pretty name ,my mother named my daughter.I wanted to name her Amy She sad I know Amy Jane.Mothers name was Jane.

the accent is on the "mar" and it is pronounced like car...but I still don't know for sure how it is spelled.

That's great! We don't have great-grands yet, but I bet they're even greater than the grands! I love that name, but then I really like unusual names. Do they live close enough you can cuddle?

I am a grandma again since yest. at 8:55 am...her name is Luna Maeve (Luna after moon, of course and Maeve after her grandmother.)

Luna was popular in the Roaring Twenties! I can see the nicknames now...oh my!

Oh well! It isn't far from Lana, Lena, etc. though, so we'll see.

I sure don't feel old enough to have greats....I probably shouldn't have them...but you know kids...

My oldest daughter was only 17 when her first son was born. She didn't have anymore until 6 years later. Her oldest son had his first fairly early. I wish he would have waited awhile..but that didn't happen. And I wouldn't wish these sweeties away for anything...I just wish for a good life for them. My oldest daughter is 42 and has three grands.
