AGAIN, Zoe's for braised white beans and spinach rollups.

Maybe I'll get tired of them soon. But I'm still enjoying as of today.

My Garden Club had our Thanksgiving luncheon today and there was so much food it was impossible to try it all so I am pretty stuffed.
I will heat up some smoked sausage and sauted onions for po-boys but not sure I will be partaking.

I'm having Eggplant Parmesan, courtesy of my DGDIL, and Broccoli Cornbread, courtesy of moi. Also her brownies for dessert.

I had some leftover pork in the freezer and some leftover rice in the refrigerator so we had shrimp and pork fried rice. I spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning my car so I was looking for something easy and this fit the bill.

Patti it was a red Anjou. Meijer had lots of different pears this week for $.99 a pound.

Pancakes and pepper bacon. We have some Minneola tangerines, or something like them, I cut up before dinner.

Not feeling good today, so homemade chicken noodle soup sounded good. Threw a whole chicken in the crockpot early this morning and went back to bed. Got up this afternoon and made the soup.

Had a big lunch before grocery shopping - the best Eggs Benedict with real fresh hollandaise.
So...dinner was light: broiled Salmon w/honey ginger sauce and capers on top and steamed asparagus.

Had the rest of the pizza from the other nite. I froze it without cooking it. Turned the rest of my apples into another Apple cobbler. So easy and so darned good. I'm afraid I created a monster....I'm addicted to it. :-)

Don't mention cleaning out your car, please, Georgysmom. I really need to get out there and do that myself. How the heck can it get so messy when we're barely ever in there?

Ravencajun, I really miss those holiday get togethers we had before we moved. There's always so much good food. I guess I'm assuming it was a pitch-in.

We had pancakes last night, Toni. Harry was in heaven. I use Krusteaz pancake mix. Just add water. So easy (but don't tell Harry)!!

Kathsgarden, sure hope you feel better soon. Chicken soup should help.

Monica, it always helps to eat before grocery shopping--especially if it's your yummy eggs Benedict. Salmon sounds good, too.

Jas, I've wondered if I could freeze a 1/2 pizza without baking it first. Glad to know it works. We only eat 1/2 and then I freeze it, but it isn't very good second time around.

Patti, you are right, especially because I don't cook much any more. I read the what's for dinner threads but rarely ever post to them because often times what I have for dinner could hardly be considered a meal. I had never had Eggplant Parmesan before and would never have considered making it. It was really good; and I have enough for tomorrow night, too.

I love pears; bought an Asian pear two weeks ago. Still waiting for it to ripen.

Emi started back in her normal routine of cooking Thursday night dinner (after a couple weeks off after having the baby). She made baked potato bar, which was absolutely delicious! This was a large baked potato, and sides of broccoli, cubed ham, cheese sauce, sour cream, and butter.

French toast, bacon and eggs. Would have really hit the spot if I could figure out how to get the 'middle' of my french toast to cook evenly. The outside gets nice and browned and done, but the middle is still to icky for me. I just eat around the outsides.

I had french toast yesterday for breakfast, Angelaid. I like using my electric skillet and don't use too fresh bread. I also like to had some oil to my pan so it really fries. The bread they use for Texas toast makes great french toast if you let it dry out some. I love french toast!

I use the electric skillet w/oil too. I couldn't find Texas toast, that's what I try to use, but you don't see it to often up here. Love, love, love it to make Monte Cristo sandwiches! Yum! This regular ol' white bread just doesn't cook up as well in the middle.
