It snowed first thing this morning. Stopped snowing, but damp and windy all day. Had my clothes out on the balcony on the rack, they're in now....do they ever smell cold and fresh!

Took some Texas chili out of the freezer, served over rice, and my buns! Lots of heat in the chili, and my taste buds are dancing.

They turned out this time, I'm going to post a pic on a different thread, so Sue on dial-up doesn't have to wait to open this post because of a picture.

Too cold for me go put my swimsuit on, coverups and go to pool. Slept in all week and my body is talking to me.

I don't even have to order. They see me coming in the door and get it ready :o) All I have to do is pay, pick it up at the counter and sit and eat.

I decided to fry a piece of catfish, bake a sweet potato and heat up some corn. Hit the spot. Now I wish I had some ice cream for dessert.

BBQ'd Ribs,oven fried potatoes, lettuce salad and dinner rolls. NOT Jasdips darn it! I am aching to try them and will as soon as I get yeast!

Schoolhouse, I thought I had a sweet potato and was looking forward to having it with the meatloaf, but I forgot we ate the last one last week.

I wish we still had our smoker, Glenda. Harry used to make the best smoked turkey breast. He used wood chips and pecan shells for the smoke. His sister in GA used to save the shells for us. That sure sounds good.

I heated up some sliced pork roast put it on some bread with barbecue sauce and several slices of onion. I also had a bunch of raw vegetables and a glass of milk.

I used to cater smoked turkey when teaching, during the holidays. Son acquired the recipe and now he's the official turkey smoker cooker!

Homemade Lasagna and it was delicious on this cold night.

I've been busy decorating so we just had some pizza but it sure hit the spot. I still have to decorate the stairs and finish the mantel. I have some friends coming over Friday night, just for cocktails, and then we're going out to dinner. I need to get it all done and then the clean up by tomorrow.

I made a big pot of okra gumbo with chicken, tasso, and sausage. I am in need of comfort food right now.

Home made beef veg soup/cornbread. Yum, real comfort food.

DH's favorite last night - pasties. Blech. But he loves those things.

Pasties.... I've only heard that referring to those things that strippers wear to cover their nips. No wonder you say blech.
