We are having chicken w/gravy on biscuits and mashed potatoes and peas. Some are leftovers, but I am good at using those leftover foods up for some other dish!

Glenda, if I am ever in B'ham I'll call you and hope you're free for lunch at either Ashley Macs or Irondale Cafe (?) You know--where they have the good cornbread.

Hellion, you have the best ideas for using leftovers. I love peas over mashed potatoes!

I just had pancakes for supper and hot tea. The preliminary count of tornadoes here in Indiana yesterday is now at 10.

I'm home! ......and I'm tired!!! We crammed so much in to every day. Golf, shopping, the casino, Mexican train Tripoli, etc. I need a vacation from my vacation. The bathroom is still an on going project as is my closet. Will things ever be back to normal here?

DH didn't eat everything I had prepared for him so it's pasta tonight.

For dinner it was left over chicken breasts & macaroni salad.

Glad we did not get any tornado's but we did get lots of rain & high winds. We have some trees down that we will get to this week.

I marinated a pork tenderloin in a bottled pineapple teriyaki sauce. I'm going to roast it. We'll have some baked winter squash and some sautéed greens with apples and raisins.
Hoping to have enough leftover for tomorrow's dinner. Depends on how hungry Hubs is tonight....

Tonight's meal was leftover meatloaf, Birds Eye winter squash, and a salad.

Sausages in red sauce, boiled cabbage and Yukon Gold potatoes.
One of our favourite meals.

We are having center cut pork chops(with no bones);with mushroom gravy, fresh roasted green beans and mashed potatoes for dinner. All soft foods for me tonight...The pork chops have been cooking all day..so they will fall apart.

Baked boneless chicken breast marinated in honey mustard.
Steamed fresh green beans, sprinkled with wee bit of Kosher salt, then sauteed in Wegman's basting oil.
Frozen sweet and white potato french fries(found in the freezer a bag of each that had just a few fries in each) baked in the oven.

Left over apple crumb pie from Sunday dinner.

Tonight it's dumplings and lima beans--one of my favorite meals.
If I am not too full, I hope to make Glenda's chocolate pudding.

A beautiful day here with the sun out again. Our thoughts with those who lost their homes yesterday.

Sue, I'm more afraid of tornadoes than I am hurricanes. At least with hurricanes we have lots of notice. Glad you and your family are all safe.

Georgysmom, now that was kind of your DH to save all that food so you don't have to cook for a few days. Gosh, remodels take so long. I love watching HGTV but always wonder how they get all that work done in so little time. Sure hope it's finished before your busy holiday entertaining, or maybe that's a good excuse not to do it :-)

Oh Mary, so sorry about the trees. You just finished cleaning up from that last storms! I'm glad you had leftovers--are you finished with your fall cleaning?

Shirley, I'm sure glad to hear from you. I think (and I could be wrong) that you live in the northern part of OH and if so, the weather channel reported just terrible weather last night. I was worried about you!

Monica, it sure is hard to cook for one or two, isn't it? I'll have to look for those potatoes.

Sweet Betsy, I've never had dumplings with limas, but I do like dumplings with bean soup--the big bready type dumplings. The pictures on the news break your heart. So much damage.

It's 4pm and I have no idea what dinner will be. A bag of kettle chips was calling to me earlier. I answered and now I'm not hungry. DH may have to fend for himself.

Patti, they were just regular chicken and dumplings with a side of limas. Sorry my posting was confusing.

Yes I ate a little bit of everything. The pork chops just fell apart..didn't need teeth for those....lol Of course the mashed potatoes were no problem. The roasted green beans were a bit of a challenge, but Prince Charming ate most of mine..lol I love the roasted green beans, but tonight they required too much chewing.

The dentist said rinse with warm salt water starting tomorrow.

Leftover last night's pot roast and carrots, freshly cooked rice. The little bit of pot roast that is still left over will go into the soup pot tomorrow.
