Update on Son in Law

Last evening they took the ventilator off of Bill. He was in a lot of pain so they gave him some morphine. The morphine has made him out of his head so to speak and it can not get out of his body until he has dialysis. He will have dialysis tomorrow and then they hope he will be normal. He has a long road to recovery. They are thinking a blood clot in the lung started this.

I have been keeping him in my prayers and will continue to do so, Marie. FYI, any artificial part in your body, ie, knee or hip replacement, ect. has the same problem. Those I personally know who have had hip or knee replacements even have to be on antibiotics for a week before any dental work, even a cleaning, because if they get an infection from it, it will go directly to the replaced joint. There have been no improvements over the last days, he does open his eyes from time to time but has no strength to communicate with them. His stroke caused bleeding in the brain, caused from high blood pressure. He is also diabetic and on dialysis 3 times a week. They are having a hard time giving him dialysis because the filter keeps clogging and he can not be given a blood thinner.Terri has not been home since he went to the hospital. We go out each day and do what needs to be done, feed the cats, get the mail and things. Thanks for the continued prayers. Sue

Country Bumpkin, Bill was put into the hospital and they put in a temporary port for dialysis and he had dialysis a time or two, and while alone in his hospital room he was found barely breathing in his bed, this happened I think last Sunday and since then he was placed on a ventilator and sedated until last night.

My future DIL has been in the hospital with multiple blood clots in her lungs. The doctor believes it orginated in the leg and was caused from birth control pills. She is only 21. The doctors are amazed it passed through the heart with no incidence.

I'm so sorry for what Bill and his family are going through--I hope he gets much relief today. If morphine makes him crazy, can they try something else?
