Dear daughter is 16 y/o and a sophomore in high school. Sometimes she wears heels and makeup, sometimes she wear pajamas and carries her stuffed sheep pillow. Apparently she never feels kindly toward seafood. She worked a bit at a restaurant in Manzanita this summer, one of her jobs was to clean crabs but she just couldn't do it - marine arachnid phobia - so she bused tables and learned Spanish.

This is the organizing forum, not the monkey forum LOL But thanks :OP LOL I'm still working on the room (ok let's be honest, two artists are working...I'm just doing the bedding)...but here are a few NOT COMPLETED shots (the windows will have the same tent fabric as the ceiling and walls and there are a lot of paint details still to come...birds etc): The friendly lion: Giraffe: HIs favorite banana tree (terrible picture of him) And his monkey: The goal of the room was to look like a 1930's Ernest Hemmingway type of Safari tent with the sides pulled back to expose the animals and foliage. We love it for him...and he love it. BUt our real dream for the room...is to have him actually sleep in there LOL (He sleeps in our master closet still).

His arrest and conviction happened in the UK, where this man lived until recently. BM flew there to visit him for 2 weeks just a few months into their 'online' relationship, ended up staying for 6 months, and came back here with him a few weeks ago. In the UK he was on probation (or parole) until 2010, but his probation doesn't apply here, although my DH has met with the local police and discussed it with them. They have requested this mans file from the UK and will decide when that arrives if they will allow him to stay here or send him back. I believe they left the UK to come here because Child Services were going to take the new baby away when it was born. See, that's the part that really sucks for me. And I've REALLY struggled with this. Because I DON'T want this baby taken away from her - purely because it is my s/kids baby sister. At the same time, I don't believe this child will ever be safe with them. DH and I are hoping that if the police decide he cannot stay here, they will go somewhere else and not back to the UK. It really is a horrible situation, because wherever they go he will be free to do whatever he wants, but then at least he will be away from the s/kids. But what about other peoples children? What about their new baby?

Okay, I moved the bed last night, and I don't think it will work in this set-up. I think it just looks odd with the half-wall beside it. Also, there is not enough room on the sides for a nightstand, and the bookshelf next to the window. I had planned on doing matching built in bookshelves flanking the window wall. Finally, it pretty much necessitates that my kid gets in and out of the bed at the foot of it, which is annoying when making it. Here is the bed turned into the alcove. I'm going to put the bed along this wall now (turned out, not flush against the wall. Maybe I can move it back enough to where you don't have to sidestep it too much when you walk in. One more perspective of the room: These photos were taken at night, so the lighting is a bit off. But they are perhaps a bit more clear. I'm going to move it against the wall where the crib was next and see how that looks. And thank you all for talking me down from the navy walls. I think you are right that it will be too dark in there. So now I'm going to go for a more taupe or light tan color, I believe. Any color suggestions?
