Word 2003 problem

I want to make calendars for next year....I bring up the calendar wizard and the style I want is there. But...I want grid lines to show "and" print. I made these calendars in 2004 and the grid lines were already there on the wizard. Since that time Word has been updated, etc....the calendar I want no longer has grid lines. I click on "show grid lines" and they are there where I want them, but they don't print. I hope someone here can help me with this. I've tried putting a table over the page, but can't get the lines where I want them....

I use a program I found on the internet years ago. It is printfree calendars. If I copied this right you could go there and pick out the calendar you like, and fill in the dates.

That's a wonderful site, Marie. I second your recommendation. I've used it to print out 2 or 3 calendars every year for several years and considering the expense of store bought calendars...it's saved me a fortune in calendar prices.

Sorry to inform you of the important details, but........... values for torque ratings tacked onto impact wrenches (air, electric, or otherwise) are really just very approximate numbers. Unless you have an impact wrench fitted with a highly accurate and adjustable delivery clutch, the applied torque could be much more, or much less than the indicated setting on your impact wrench. Bite the bullet on this and purchase a suitable torque wrench. You don't need a high tech pro model torque wrench for what you are doing. An inexpensive old school "beam and pointer" type will work just fine. If you need justification to do this just figure what this job would have cost if you had farmed it out.

This is a stange and troublesome problem. I wouldn't want it to happen while passing someone on a two lane road, or crossing a busy intersection. I have no clue about this one, but I'll mention a problem from the past. One day, the Cadillac dealers in one area began to receive a rash of calls about the trunk lids popping open of their own accord. This problem was reported only in one area. By observation, it was attributed to military jet fighters on trainning flights flyovers. Apparently, their transmitters were keying the remote system on the autos. The military never admitted to any transmissions and would not disclose the frequencies and modulation they were using. GM fixed the problem by changing the operating frequency and key code pulses. Look around the next time the problem occurs: Are you passing under a power transmission line, near cell phone tower, etc. Is something keying the security system? Do you or anyone in the vehicle with you carry a spare key fob in their pocket, and if so, is there a possibility its panic button is getting inadvertently pressed? Lets us know when you solve it. I'm betting on some electrical/eletronic grelim.

Hi, Pam ! 1. I went through the instructions as carefully as I could (viewing hidden files, etc.) and saw no security tab where I should have. I just tried to go there again ( C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\ ), but I can't even find "Office" anymore ! At least not under "All Users." It was only under "Owner." ??? Maybe that's because of the registry changes you suggested. Anyway... 2. No other administrators on the computer. Just me. And I only created a (temporary) second Administrator account to try your suggestion above. 3. Hmmmm... I don't actually use any of MS Office software on this computer. Soon after I bought it (a low-end HP desktop) I uninstalled the stuff I wasn't going to use. A few years later I bought an "Outlook 2003" disc simply for using that program (mainly for email). It installed w/o incident on at least 2 previous occasions. Only this time has it been giving me trouble. "sigh> I have a feeling I'm going to have to have a "Computer Guy" come over and actually look at the thing to get this straightened out. Unless you can think of something else. I followed your suggestion on a file saved to my system and the file did not have the "read only" box checked, but when I open it ... it defaults to "file viewer" mode. When I try the same action on a file sent to me, selection of properties does not show the check boxes for read only, etc.

Click into the area where the days are (where you want the gridlines to print). You'll need to "select" all of the squares that you want to have a printed border. Now, click on Format then bring your cursor down to, and click on Borders and Shading. Choose the borders you want. When you look at it through Print Preview, you'll see that the borders will print.

I want to tell you...I'm setting here smiling :o) Thank you all for the wonderful help! Anne and Marie, I will, indeed, check out that site. But...I'm sort of OCD about knowing there must be a solution and wanting to find it. Thank you so much, Lindsey, that worked like a charm in the Word Program....just what I wanted for sure. I made calendars before (in 2004) and at that time, the grids were all shown on that calendar wizard...since that time, it has changed. I have a friend who makes calendars every year (I showed her how) and hers is still the same...but she never updates anything on her computer...even the Windows updates. But...who am I to fault her..she hasn't had any problems with her computer (and it is older than mine) and I've had to replace my hard drive and my monitor....she must be doing "something" right. Thank you all again...
