I bought one at the nursery, haven't started any from seed. Actually, mine doesn't seem to have any seeds that are fertile. I have never had any seedlings, though it is one I don't deadhead. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the variety, but it has a lovely, rich blue cast to the foliage. It often looks frosted on the leaf tips if the light is right. Very striking near the green plants. I grow mine in a bed that gets good sun after 12P, fairly good soil, with extra watering of all the plants when it gets dry too long. Ground is a bit on the low side of the driveway for drainage, but not moist soil. Plant seems happy, doesn't multiply, but always is there, has nice appearance each year. It is in with bulbs and other perennials that come and go all season. That garden always has a good deep layer of oak leaves each winter, because of fence behind. I plan to check and find another this year. I only got one, in case it was a rampant spreader. I am leery of thistle type plants here on the farm anyway. Sure don't need more pest thistles growing! In this case, I will keep it and add more, since there has been no invasion from the seeds or roots. I do like it's looks and well behaved manner in this garden spot.

Beanthere dunthat, I didn't know that either, and like you, find it very interesting! Palm reading may be easier when reading the palm of someone who's lived, rather than one who is developing. I suspect palms are in a way like DNA, but I've wondered at times if people's palms ever change? Lars you have e-mail. You are exactly right when you said one of the powers of Tarot is to make subconscious thoughts conscious. What the cards suggest are usually good advice, whether we seem to know it or not. Even if it's something I think I know, I always consider the suggestions carefully. Tarot and Astrology are naturally intertwined when you think that each of the suits (Wands, Swords, Pentacles and Cups) also represent Fire, Air, Earth, Water, and the relationships seem more obvious. I had my numerology chart done years ago by my SIL's sister. I should probably dig that out and look at it again, if I can find it. I thought it was fascinating, and think numerology can offer insights as well. I always look to see what the new month/years numbers hold. Thanks for reminding me I haven't done that yet this month!

I have read and enjoyed "The Hot Zone"... I used to work for many years in public health so was/am interested in all that stuff. Another book you might like is called "The Coming Plague: Newly Emerging Diseases in a World Out of Balance" by Laurie Garrett. This is a bit dry, but mostly interesting. She also wrote a follow up book called "Betrayal of Trust: The Collapse of Global Public Health", but I haven't actually read that one so don't know how it is to read. I was looking for more info, because to say that a governor poisoned a water supply administered by perhaps hundreds or thousands of workers is political and not thoughtful to me. It's about as unthoughtful as giving a US President credit, or blame, for what the economy does during their term, when they really have little or no control over what happens. If you have nothing further to say, you're just confirming my suspicion that your comment is vapid. Many of my best personal friends are women. Friends of mine and not of my wife's, and that's been a lifelong phenomenon for me. And yes, if you put me into a Senate confirmation, the women coming forward would speak to my support and respect for them as individuals, not any of the nonsense we're hearing about our third rate Supreme Court nominee.
