Almost done shopping!!

I can't believe that I am almost finished with my Christmas shopping. I just have to find some things for DH and DD and that is it.

I did not even try to shop Black Friday weekend. I run out late for quick trips to Bed, Bath and Beyond or the mall and order online too. I can't believe how many gifts I buy online these days. I use online only when I know the exact model and make or title of a book.

The older I get, the less likely I am to wander the stores in the malls looking for gifts that seem to hit the spot for someone on my list. Love it when the kids can tell me what they want with model and manufacturer too and sometimes even the internet connection to the item. And what would I do without Amazon or Costco?

Wow, good for you! I just got started, but don't have too much to buy since I give some cash. Works out good and they like to buy what they want.

I'm one-third done. I ask for lists, then I order online. I'm never walking the mall scratching my head, wondering what to get, again, it's too much.

Mine is almost ready, too. Just have to pick up one thing today and make a pit stop at the __________ to get the other thing I wanted. ; P Had to put the other stuff out of reach because it's wrapped, and I didn't want DS thinking it was a present for him. Nothing like sending mangled re-wrapped gifts to your swap partner....LOL!

I agree with bluekitobsessed - unless you need it for privacy I like the uncovered windows. Otherwise, I agree with you on the bamboo - that would continue the lovely peaceful feel you have created without detracting too much from the simplicity that makes it feel so soothing. I love everything about your room - beautiful job.

Thanks for posting the pictures. It looks great! I saw this pattern in the magazine (can't remember which one now) and thought it would be perfect for those 9-patch and 4-patch blocks I made doing the "leaders and enders" routine from the Quiltville website. I'm not really doing any shopping this year. We're making homemade limoncello for our DH's family & our friends & neighbors. I'll get my sister & dad a little something because they won't drink the limoncello. I'll also get something for DH's young nephews.

YogaLady, there are a lot of recipes online. We used this one: http://www.homemademamas.net/2012/02/homemade-limoncello.html

It's super easy. I try to plan ahead for a way to use the lemons instead of just throwing them away after zesting them. Some of the recipes use vodka; we used Everclear. We made a test batch a few months ago & thought it was very good. So did DH's family.

I'm done and wrapping today. I'm in the wrapping mood since I've been wrapping this week for our town program of gifting to the less fortunate. It's hard but fun. I love it. BTW, I'm using just bags for my gifts at home lol lol.
