Wow! I am so jealous of the room you have in there. I love the fixtures and the dark wood. I like it the way it is I don't think you need a bench. But perhaps you can put the stool next to the tub where the basket it and get a small chair of some kind. And scootch it over under the window a bit. gorgeous bathroom. I would love to have it.No idea right now about WTs though.

CB, I was thinking the same thing about the stool - and then I'd have a place to sit when I bathe the kids! I'm totally stuck on window treatments. Maybe just simple bamboo shades? At least that would be cheap and easy!

It does look like a spa, Danielle . . . very nice! Love the colors you've used in there, as they lend such a restful feel. As for a bench, where were you thinking of putting one? Under the window to the right of the sink? Your pics are fine, but it's hard to get a sense of the entire room's layout. Is your tub directly to the left of your sink? As it stands right now, your bath looks very spacious, but adding a bench might crowd your sink area. I guess it depends on the length and visual bulk of the bench you have in mind. I do like your stool, though. You have a good decorating eye.

Yes, the tub is directly to the left of the sink and the shower is opposite the sink. The toilet is to the right of the shower. The center of the room is empty. I do have a second stool (same size as the other one). Maybe I'll try that on for size. I would really love to put a teak bench IN the shower - but I have to save up some $ first :)

Lovely bathroom. Bamboo shades will, IMHO, enhance the spa-like feel, as long as you can find a burnt bamboo that that has more pinkish than yellowish tones.

Anyway you could incorporate a rather large rug in the center of the bathroom (moisture resistant) to lend some coziness and accent colour, & to ground the space? Then go ahead with some casual bamboo shades to add texture and tie in the dark brown you have in cabinetry and trim. A picture or two with whatever accent colour you have in the rug would just finish it all off. If you don't want pics than towels, soaps, vase, etc. Very nice bathroom - enjoy!

No advice on benches or window treatments... but I would love to know the source of that wonderful sink! It has such clean lines that really add to the overall look.

Beautiful! Please x-post on the bathrooms forum, if you haven't already, because we love to see beautiful pix there too (you'll get some technical questions on brands of sink, showerhead, etc). I'm no expert on window treatments, but my advice would be: 1. If you don't need anything for privacy reasons, don't put anything, and let the beautiful molding be the focal point; or 2. If you do need something, keep it simple and in keeping with the spa feel -- perhaps bamboo or similar natural woven style blinds. Also, search teak stools on that forum and you'll find at least one supplier.

I agree with bluekitobsessed - unless you need it for privacy I like the uncovered windows.

Otherwise, I agree with you on the bamboo - that would continue the lovely peaceful feel you have created without detracting too much from the simplicity that makes it feel so soothing.

Thank you all. Apparently, whether or not we NEED anything for the windows is debatable (I say yes, dh says no - strictly from a privacy perspective).

Sure Linda, the color is a Glidden color called Manatee Grey. It's really a green though.
