Very nice! I never got the whole "double sink" thing until I was at a friend's house the other day with my girls, and she had them. SO convenient with children!

Beautiful! I especially love the mirrors in the first bathroom, and the 2 person shower in the master bath.

I think a chocolate brown shower curtain would be great...but what about a glass door? I love your shower and I would hate to cover up the pebbles! (...or I guess they're stones).

the shower tile is beautiful; I would definitely not do chocolate brown curtain, it will stick out like a dark band of fabric , the focus of your room should not be on that, the general atmosphere is airy and natural, I would pick a textured natural looking fabric and leave it to the side most of the time, tied back with a raffia tassel.

I agree, no chocolate colored shower curtain. You want the bathroom to look open, clean and unimpeded. I agree with a glass shower door, or nothing. We have had a lot of trouble with the frameless door in our bathroom and just before deciding to have nothing, the glass people suggested putting a header to see if that would resolve the situation. If it does not, I am going with nothing and let the tile people putty the holes were the door is attached. We have tried using the shower without the door and it does fine. The small amount of water that got onto the floor could be easily wiped up with a towel and dried with a ceiling fan.

Thanks for the comments! We ultimately wanted a glass door, but after going so far over budget with the build...we'll see. I was hoping we wouldn't need anything...but after mopping up the floor so many times now I finally gave in and put up a curtain for now.

Wonderful baths!! Yes -- another vote for a glass shower door or you may want to consider one of those curved shower rods that allow for a few more inches of room! Saw them at Homesense -- and I'm sure other stores carry them too!

teacats---That's what we were looking for! We went all over yesterday trying to find the curved, hotel shower rods but we couldn't find any in stock that went up to 72". I would've sworn I'd seen them in that size (when we didn't need them).....

I love your vanity tops/sinks...they look "one piece". Are they, or is that how the picture presents? I also vote "no" on the chocolate shower curtain. My sister has a navy one in her bath, and it really does grab your eye.

Hey deedee...the vanity (in both baths) is just a one piece cultured marble top. Both of the vanities are a custom (ie ODD) size so we just went with cultured marble. I'm actually quite pleased with it so far considering how inexpensive it was.

Thanks for all the comments on the chocolate shower curtain---you've talked me into keeping it simple for now.

I really like the mbath wall color -- very pretty and soothing. I also vote against the choc brown -- someday the robinsegg blue/choc brown combo will look dated, while sky/sea/air feel colors will be classic. Stick with white/offwhite/sand colors.

The curved shower rods - if you have one, try Home Goods. They usually carry several at ours, in a few finishes (I know I've seen lots of nickel and ORB). I've seen quite a few ORB ones at TJ Maxx as well.

Shower curtains - in natural texture bathrooms, I'm partial to PBS textiles. I can't get enough of the natural fibers. (I've even used a pair of their window panels to make an extra long shower curtain in our master bath). I know they're everyday, but I can't help it. Their mineral raynier line is coming to mind. Here's a close-up of the fabric. I have this line of curtains in a different color scheme and the striping is much more subtle, this is greatly magnified.

tell me about that rock flooring in your shower. I love it but DH thinks it would be hard to stand on. Can you give me a cost for that if you don't mind. I am going to have to replace the shower in my master bath and I love what you did.

rdsso, Sorry for not responding sooner. I didn't see your question until just now when I was pulling the pictures up!

I've included the link to the Ocean pebbles that we ordered for our shower floor--they're smooth and beautiful--all the guys on our build had a fit when it came to laying the pebbles. They made me stand on them to try it out before they'd actually grout because they were SURE that it would be uncomfortable. The company does a great job of putting them together and we love them!
