I just posted this for Anne's sister, and I'll paste it here. My sister just finished radiation treatments for her 2nd round of breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy on both of them. Followed by chemo on the first one, (16 yrs ago). The 2nd one was caught very early, and is called breast calcification. It's like little flecks/freckles of it in an area. They did the lumpectomy on it, but the Dr. didn't get the clear margins he wanted, so she had to go back right after Christmas and have more taken out until he was satisfied with the margins. Also, my daughter chose the mastectomy about 4 years ago, along with the reconstruction at the same time. Hers was breast calcification, and caught very early. Leslie

I've been a member for years. I mostly just read. I'm a mom of three, work part time, and I'm a musician on the side for fun. I'm quiet in a large crowd, fairly anxious in general, my friends call me chop chop, and I have a very healthy sense of humor. I'm also quite opinionated. I like coming here because sometimes I just want my own personal water cooler - I'm quite entertained at times here! :P

You are all so very kind! I am in Vegas and don't know that anyone would come up this far, but they would be welcome. My sister and her family are in Sugar Land, which is a Houston suburb. They are hoping for the best and riding it out. The traffic is so bad...gas is low. They really don't feel they have much choice. Let's keep all in the path of this hurricane in our thoughts and prayers.

Dave's photo site was called Critterscape and his photo friends kept it up for a long time after he died.. I used to have a live link to it but it no longer works. The site must have been taken down. I think it was on Zen photos...or something close to that. He was a phenomenally talented photographer. I, too, Glenda, loved his cat photos. Everything he photographed was brilliant. It's such a shame it's no longer available on the internet. I searched and searched but couldn't find it. He was a very talented artist. ETA: The photo website was Zen-folio.
