Another update on B and SisIL

Monday was 1st hearing, B didn't have a lawyer. Why..who knows, he said he couldn't afford one, but obviosly didn't try to see if he could get one. Jusge was NOT happy, and gave him a one time one day continuance to find out if he qualified for legal aid or if not find a lawyer.

Jump to Tuesday (yesterday) he qualified for legal aid. All that was decided is that they will NOT lower his bail, he cannot afford to post bail, or bond out, so he is to stay in jail until his omnibus hearing on Dec 2nd. So that gives SIL and kids two more weeks of safety.

BUT yesterday I found out bits of "his side" of the story..

First for those that wonder what SIL said when I asked if she had an affair....her answer was NO, she never had time, he watched her like a hawk. checked on her like every 15 minutes at work, if he E-mailed and she didn't respond he'd call. If she went shopping for groceries and it took longer that he figured it should, he'd call.

So let's see, where to start:

He doesn't remember anything from the Friday he beat her up and got arrested. I think it's a lie, but a friend who's ex-husband would beat her said he too would black-out in a rage, so it's possible, I think it's convienent.

SHE would disappear for hours, and spend all thier money on her "boyfriend", so they didn't have any money for necessities. Mind you they had two checking accounts, but could be true.

My step mother said that the stage of syphiliss she had, could NOT have come from my brother, had to come from her boyfriend (the one she denied having). I have no idea how she could come up with that #1 when even the doctors didn't know when she would have gotten it, #2 she didn't know what stage SIL was in and #3 and this is the best, SIL's regular doctor had the test re-run (first test were done in urgent care), and she does NOT have syphiliss, the first test was a false positive YEA!!!

So I have to admit, I am not to sure who is telling the whole truth, I am thinking it is falling somewhere in the middle (leaning way more towards her side, I have to admit). BUT wait, before anyone gets angry at me....BRUISES DO NOT LIE. He still beat her, he still was in the wrong, no matter what she "DID" and that is in quotes because of my doubts...nothing she may or may not have done justified what he did to her. If in fact what he said she did was true, then divorce, not beat! He still deserves his time in jail, and deserves prison.
