Between noon and 1:00 Thursday. Years ago at my MIL's I would have said all afternoon, but times have changed!

I have a few ideas, one is more plausible than the other: I'd like to "retire" to Wyoming in the Spring and Summer. Work somewhere in Yellowstone. In the Fall and Winter I would live in Tuscon, AZ. Other, move back to Germany, near the Mosel River. Highly unlikely, though. I would have to get a job with the U.S. government and work on a base for that to happen. I know a nurse I work with now is applying for a position on an Army base over there. My kids, though, don't want to leave KY.

Gas! The only way to cook. Ideally, I want a dual fuel stove...gas cooktop and electric/convection double oven. What I'll probably get is a gas range. What I have is a wounded electric range. If I set the oven to 410 degrees, the oven will, eventually, heat up to 350. It takes it about 30 minutes to reach this temp. Three of the four burners work. Still, I'm not cooking over an open buffalo-chip fire to feed six children, so I'm not complaining!

Nope - Primer Class ... started at Easter, went to First Class in that fall. The Jr. and Sr. each of 2nd, 3rd & 4th ... ... for eight classes in all. One-room rural school, less than half mile walk from home - Miss Jean Abbott, a nice lady, was the teacher throughout. Many rural schools scattered around the country - no school buses then. Fast-learner senior kids helped the junior kids with their work - partly to keep them out of mischief, possibly? How would you like to manage eight groups at the same time in one room? When our children were in elementary school, they started this wonderful new concept - four classes in one room, separated by dividers, with a teacher for each. I said that it smelled a lot similar to parts of the old one-room school, to me. ole joyful P.S. Since the "definately" that I see around here so frequently is definitely not part of my vocabulary, is that the modern way of spelling ... with our way being sort of dinosaurish? o j

No, thank goodness. Maybe it helps that we have a sign over the door, with a picture of a .357 Magnum, which reads "Forget the dog...Beware of Owner"! Our neighbor has a sign, with a picture of a rifle, that reads "We don't call 911". The crime rate is low out here in the sticks.....

Whenever the turkey timer pops up. Hopefully, all will be ready by then. I greatly overestimate the time every year, so stuff is still cooking when the bird comes in. Hubby does it over charcoal on the grill, yummmmmy.

Just me & hubby and the dogs this year, so dinnertime will depend on when I wake up. It won't be a mandatory "get up at 5 a.m. to start all the preparations" this year.

The only requirement is that we have to be eating (or finished eating) by 3 p.m. kickoff.

Haven't been told yet. Will be at SIL's parents house. SIL is smoking the turkey. Probably be mid afternoon.
