I'm not a big Twighlight fan..actually not a fan at all. I tried watching the first movie, and just couldn't get through it.

I lived in the real Forks, Washington for a bit about 2 years before it became famous. Just a little podunk town in the rainforest. Now, it's a tourist attraction. My cousin still lives there, and she just shakes her head. LoL

It's so fun to get caught up in a story like this, I wish I could.

I bought the books for ds and then found out it wasn't a boy book so I read them. I need to start watching the movies. I'm still not all that sure about the casting of the characters. Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart don't fit the look for me, but maybe that is because I haven't seen the movies.

I bought all 3 books on a friend's recommendation, and could barely get through the first one. I gave them all to another friends teen and she read them all in a week!

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. We need escapism these days, so I may have to go see it. I know the basic storyline, and the actors and actresses are easy on the eyes.

TO ALL TWILIGHT FANS: Bella gets preggo during her honeymoon and the baby grows really fast so Edward wants her to abort it because it might be a demon. Bella decides to keep it due to the bond they have. When the baby is born it breaks a bunch of Bellas bones, one of them being the spine and Edward turns her into a vampire so she can live. Bella's undegoes the painful transformation of changing i...nto a vampire and thoroughly enjoys her new life(death?) and abilities...not to mention she is, of course, the best vampire ever. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Bella's newborn daughter Renesmee as an "immortal child", because Renesmee matures and grows quickly. "Immortal children" are considered uncontrollable, and creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to survive, the Cullens gather other vampire clans from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Upon confronting the gathered Cullen allies and witnesses, the Volturi discover that they have been misinformed and immediately execute Irina for her mistake. However, they remain undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampires' secret existence. At that time, Alice and Jasper, who had left prior to the confrontation, return with a Mapuche called Nahuel, a 150-year-old vampire-human crossbreed like Renesmee. I have read all the books and loved them. When DH saw the preview on TV for the first movie he said he really wanted to see it. He has enjoyed every one of the movies. We'll be going tomorrow to see this new one.

Have they released pictures of the wedding dress yet? I'm curious as to what it looks like?

I never thought I'd be remotely interested in the Twilight series until I watched the first movie when it came on TV. I laughed at it, but watched it again...then again. Same with the other movies as they made it to the On Demand and cable channels. I still feel they aren't the greatest but the characters and story have a certain appeal. Since I've never read the books, I would have questions so I'd go to Wiki and read chapter summaries of the books. jeaninwa has posted both parts one and two of the last book (movie). At what point in the story does the Part One movie end?

There were a lot of spoilers above, but I find them interesting. I liked the Twilight movies I've seen on TV. Tried reading the first book, but it seemed slow and I was bored. I have one question. What happens to Jacob in the latest movie? He's my favorite character, so handsome looking! And I'm amazed that Taylor Lautner, the actor who plays Jacob, is only 19. I would have guessed such a good actor would be much older.

Schoolhouse This movie ends when Bella wakes up after the emergency delivery of Renessmee.

Many other events happen in Jacob's life too, but if you want the entire back story you'll have to read the books. LOL They can't describe the tribe's heritage fully in the visual movie.

Yes, the books' story line and writing style is juvenile, but then I believe the target audience is teen girls (which can be a force unto themselves, or legends in their own minds, or...something! LOL)

Still, the "Fairy Tale", romantic, good vs. evil, "Happily Ever After" is a tried-and-true storyline.

Adellabedella The dress is beyond beautiful. I don't want to be spoiler though. Think sophisticated, modest, covered and revealing, lacy, tailored, sleek...just perfect. And not strapless!

Jannie Again, I'm trying hard to not post too much of a spoiler. Jacob follows a legend of his tribe. He's in shock when he thinks of himself as some sort of a 'monster, a werewolf.' He's not a werewolf, although he can take a wolf's shape.

Yes, the first book especially, can drag on. It's from the mindset of a spoiled 16-year-old, sometimes you have to skim the worst of the teen-angst parts.

I about gagged on a sub-plot in one of the books where she "hated to pull the moving-out card." A spoiled brat, who lives with a parent and depends on him for food, clothing, and shelter, decides she doesn't like the rules. She's "all grown up" so, to show Dad, she thinks she'll just move out of his house...and move into other adults' house - the Cullens' - and let them have the honor of supporting her. (She didn't move.) I thought that scene was so typically teenage girl.

Donna Loomis My hubby won't go to the theater to see them, but he does sneak peeks when I'm watching the DVDs at home. I asked him to read certain selections in the different books so he would know what I was babbling about.

He works as a civilian security police on the base with mostly Air Force folks in their early 20s; he has a hoot with them. He retired after 22 years of active duty so he knows the job inside and out. He handles a lot of the training and is "all business" and a very "stern" and professional.

Then, when they get into discussions about current urban musicians, or an obscure jazz artist, or early 18th century political history, or Harry Potter, or Twilight he can chime right in. It blows their minds.
