Well, I prefer to eat my meals on the shore of a lake with a nice campfire going, but where I *do* eat them varies a bit. I go in streaks on whether I cook or eat out. I'm back into a cooking mode so few meals are eaten out. When I cook now, I probably eat in the kitchen 80% of the time and 20% in the living room. That too has changed. When I did more microwave/quick types of "cooking", or should I say more appropriately meal prep I ate in the living room more. When I'm doing more conventional cooking I like to eat in the kitchen. I find I clean up after myself a little better and I need all the help I can get in that respect. I used to like to take it out and sit on one of the patios, but these days it's a lot more effort unless I'm planning on company or something special. Or doing something like a sandwich.

Once I get the kitchen/dining area straightened up again I'll probably eat at the dining area table more often.

Then there's streaks where I'm eating in a restaurant. And occasionally behind the wheel in a parking lot or on the road.

We always eat in the LR or at the computer.I think we've sat at the DR table maybe 6 times since we moved here(when we had friends over to eat) and maybe 3 times at the kitchen table.We've been here 5 yrs .LOL! We're just not table eaters,I guess. I'd like to eat outside at the picnic table but it's always to darn hot!

I would say that about 90% of our meals are eaten at the kitchen table (no dining room to speak of). When Mom or my daughter and grandchildren aren't here for dinner, which isn't often, we'll be bad and eat in the living room while watching television.

We usually have breakfast in the cabin at the table, dinner is almost always in the living room, while watching the TV and lunch could be either place.

When the kids were home we'd always eat dinner at the table; now dh & I usually eat at the counter with the tv on :( I long for the "good old days"......kids, noise and conversation! :)

Suburbs house--when I'm home alone, I eat in the living room (with the computer/tv). When DH is here, lately we've been eating in the kitchen. Normally, I prefer eating family meals in the dining room, but since we're trying to get the house ready to sell, I'm trying not to mess up extra rooms when possible.

Country house--If weather is nice, we eat on the deck. If it's too chilly for that, we eat on the sunporch. If it's just too cold for either, we eat in the kitchen. No dining room there, but so much other great space, we don't miss it.

Having a very small kitchen, we always eat in the family room, plates on our laps. Been eating on the front porch this summer, every nice day, and we'll sure miss that!

99% of the time we eat at the kitchen table. Once in a great while we eat in the sun room or outside.

It can be outside on the deck or the patio, or inside at the kitchen table or dining room table.

NEVER in front of a TV or computer!

We eat in the Florida room where we have a small table and two chairs, or on the screened porch. When we have company we eat in the dining room, which is just an extension of the living room. We just HAVE to watch Jeopardy while we eat dinner. It's a tradition! :-)

When the kids were home we ate at the kitchen table. Now that it's just the two of us we eat at the breakfast bar, the dining room table is used when there are more than two people

Here and at the getaway place we eat at the kitchen table for the most part. Once in a while we eat in the livingroom if a ballgame or somethng good is on the TV.

When the kids were home we always ate at the Kitchen table. DH and I still continue that. I don't like sitting in front of the tv eating my meals because there tends to be very little conversation.

Our 'breakfast room' is also our lunch and dinner room. Seldom use the kitchen island bar. Seldom use the actual DR. NO FOOD ALLOWED -- other than tea and cookies --in the LR or Library (where our large TV is).

We keep a small TV on a buffet in the breakfast room. We would like to watch "Jeopardy"! When will ball games stop pre-empting it? LOL

We watch the evening news at dinner. There's *plenty* of conversation when the TV is on! Most of it I cannot type here, especially now, during the onslaught of campaign blah-blah.

In summer, we eat some meals on the screened porch, just off the breakfast room.

At the Maui condo we eat some meals on the lanai and some at the DR table.

We seldom eat out. Have to be desperate to eat fast food.

Dining room table..which is basically an extension of the living room space, kitchen has no room for a table.

Breakfast is always eaten at the kitchen table (unless we have company).
Lunch is eaten at work on weekdays; weekends we seldom eat a formal lunch; just snacks between errands and home projects.

Dinner is most often in the dining room or in a restaurant.

Since I'm at work at home on my computer 40 hours a week, I have all my meals at the computer.

I do have a table to the left of my computer where I put my plate, so technically you could say I'm eating at the table. ;)

On the weekends when I'm not working, I have dinner on the kitchen counter with DH if he's home.

When it is just me, I eat in the living room. If I have company, I clear off the dining room table and we eat there.

I eat breakfast in the car on the way to work out. Yogurt. Wayne has 2 breakfast groups. Dinner is always at a restaurant. When you don't cook, your new (that would be me) kitchen doesn't get dirty.

We eat all of our meals at the dinning table...but our home is open. The dinning area is the corner that holds the kitchen and living area together.

We eat all our meals at the kitchen table. The exception might be if we are just having a sandwich for lunch. That might be eaten in the LR but rarely. I hate having the TV on when eating. I especially hate TVs in restaurants. The point of going out to eat should be to socialize which is something you can't do while watching TV.

We have both a dinette area with one of those nooks in it,ya know the benches and farm table,and we eat 99% of our meals there.When we have company and at the big holidays etc we eat at the dining room table.

We almost always eat at the kitchen table. Ever since my daughter was home, we made it a habit to all eat together at one time at the kitchen table. It's a hard habit to break. We always wait for the other one to get home no matter what time it is. In fact, I'm waiting for my DH to get home now and the food is waiting to be eaten.

We are just like Chubby Rat! We always eat in the living room, dh always eats in his recliner in front of the tv, and I always eat in front of the tv or at my computer. I actually got rid of our kitchen table many years ago, and replaced it with an island that I love. IN the summer, though, I like to eat outside at my picnic table a lot of times.

Kathi mdgd ~ I have a large "Country Kitchen where the dining area is an extension of the kitchen.... and I have one of those Farm type "Harvest Tables" with the benches... but we have ladder back chairs for either end of the table... Bob made me the table, chairs and benches along with a matching china hutch for a wedding gift. I love it and will always keep it until I leave this earth....

We eat all of our meals at our diningroom table which is just off our open kitchen and open to our livingroom.

In restaurants. Snacks and sandwiches I eat at the kitchen bar or in my recliner.

Since I don't have a kitchen, most meals are eaten in restaurants.
