Mostly, three.

I typically have a small oatmeal for breakfast, then something light for lunch and a full dinner. On weekends, just two meals ... something mid-morning to cover both breakfast and lunch, and then dinner.

Hah, I've got this one down pat! When you eat some form of pasta for three or four meals a day for a solid week or more!! I do this often. I need to eat three or four or more small meals a day and sometimes the only meal that's not pasta is supper with Christy, but then...sometimes she eats something else and I eat pasta for supper too. Bwahahaha... I even freeze quite a bit of the sauce so that I can have fresh sauce after I run out of the first pound of pasta. Sometimes I have my pasta with just butter, or butter and sour cream or with cottage cheese and of course there are periogies with sour cream and gnocchi or ravioli with sour cream. After about a week or ten days I make my next big pot of chili... and eat that with...rice...or bread...or tortilla's or... some darn carb...potatoes.... My name is Coconut and I am a carb lover. [psst...when the little crabs were mentioned and then Annie said didn't eat enough of them..... gagggg..... I too figured he meant the body crabs...shudder...gaggg..] Now if I lived back in New Orleans and could get crabs all the time............I'd still eat pasta two or three times and day and crabs once or twice...lol. Btw, my A1C is excellent as is my cholesterol and such. I think it's all the sauce. My weight, not so much, but I'm a nice healthy obese person. Smiles.

I shop at multiple stores. Pay day is every other Friday so I that is when I go to Wal-Mart or Smith's (Kroger owned). Every 2 weeks we also get coffee beans at the little mom and pop shop. We go to Sprouts every 2 weeks as their ads overlap on Wednesdays. This is actually getting less frequent as they have not put the bulk things on sale that I want the most as frequently (steel cut oats and short grain brown rice). The bread outlet is a once a month trip. Other stores such as Keller's (for meat), Trader Joe's, the international markets, Vitamin Cottage (for other bulk items), I alternate months. Some things I get through Amazon's subscribe and save and that can vary in frequency. Eggs are mostly from my hens and many of our vegetables come from our garden. Some of the variety in shopping is about the money savings but it is more along the lines of trying to match the quality to a certain price point and meeting my needs of acquiring a diversity of ingredients. Arborio rice at TJ's, quality meat at Keller's, red lentils in bulk at Vitamin Cottage, etc. Part of it is me trying to maintain a well stocked pantry because my moods are fickle and if the pantry has a variety of things, I can cook according to my mood. Pre-planned menus never, ever work for me.

On days I work I try to eat 4 snack/meals a day. I usually eat an egg or small portion of leftovers for breakfast with coffee. I wake up between 5 and 5:30. Around 10:00 I have Greek Yogurt and sometimes a few nuts. Some days I don't get to do this, especially if I have a busy group of patients. Lunch is usually a frozen dinner. I'm so sick of frozen meals. I keep changing brands but they are all bad for you and don't taste good. I have been buying mostly organic stuff lately but most of it doesn't taste any better. I buy them for convenience. Sometimes I freeze meals I make at home and take them instead. My dinner/snack in the evenings has been those P3 snack packs with meat, cheese and nuts. Fast and easy and are good source of protein. I do sometimes bring another meal but sometimes I don't get a chance to eat it because we're too busy, one reason I started taking the P3 snacks instead. I just stated getting meals from Hello Fresh. I'm alone at home now and find myself eating out a lot because I'm tired of cooking the same old things and then having tons of leftovers that get frozen or thrown out. On days I don't work I usually eat 3 meals but sometimes I forget to eat a 3rd and may just snack on cheese and a little fruit or nuts. I do sometimes eat things not good for me. Like bagels and cream cheese but usually only eat half a bagel at a time. I also like Skinny Pop popcorn.

I have been using Mills Magic and various Tones, usually right before a big rain. It's a time-consuming process since I have to pull back the mulch, scratch in the fertilizer thoroly and then replace the mulch. To keep the dogs off I lay empty flats (the plastic trays that six-packs of annuals come in). I still find soil disturbed here and there and guilty looking dogs with mustaches of dirt on their golden faces! Am going to back off on the process this year by relying on compost, liquid feed and alfalfa tea instead. Most of my garden is established shrubs and OGR's and I want to see how they do on this regimen. After all I'm not growing for exhibition!

One preferably out at a restaurant somewhere. If I cook anything I eat the whole thing.

I guess three but sometimes I just graze from 10-2 and then some kind of meal after work especially if DH is in town. I usually bring an inventory of healthy foods to work and pick and choose when I'm hungry - milk, yogurt, fruit, carrots and other vegetables, packaged oatmeal, low sodium V8, unsalted nuts, Fiber One cereal, Kashi snack bars, etc. I don't usually take much of a lunch break as it just means I'll end up working later at night.

Usually two pieces of whole wheat toast with butter and a cup,sometimes 2,of coffee.I probably won't eat again until dinner time.I eat when I'm hungry.I drink several glasses of iced tea during the day.

One whole meal at dinner, but toast or English muffins with V-8 or whatever I feel like around 1 p.m. Sometimes saltines and pepperoni ;-) Terrible, I know!

Right now I am trying to lose weight so I graze. So I guess it's about 5 mini meals I'm eating. Tonight I am going out to dinner with friends so I am having two mini meals/snacks and the dinner.

Grownups eat 3 meals a day. Since we don't eat dinner until around 8pm, I give the kids hearty after school snack, so they eat a total of 4x a day.

DH will sometimes try to sneak in a midnight "meal" unless I catch him :)

Same as Minnie. I eat one meal a day...usually out because I have no kitchen and it is too much trouble to cook, wash dishes and clean up, especially just for one person. But, I much prefer my own cooking, and would rather cook, even just for me.

I can't believe how many of you don't eat at regular intervals. Don't you get faint? I know I do, after 3-4 hours. (I always have a granola bar or some other such snack for when my blood sugar drops.)

I eat three meals a day, plus a snack in the afternoon (usually an apple or other fruit) and another in the evening.

Two meals...breakfast and supper. I start getting weak and shaky around 3 PM, so will have some peanutbutter/cheese crackers or a couple pieces of candy.

Three meals as DH is a diabetic and he has to eat regular and suppose to have 2 snacks, but he doesn't have those. Maybe some nuts or a 100 Calorie bar if his blood sugar is low.

My favorite of all favorites was fried chicken, or chicken fried steak, with milk gravy, and THEN serving leftovers with the chicken/steak heated in the gravy with biscuits for BREAKFAST!

I am killing myself thinking about this!

Light breakfast, light lunch unless I'm eating out, and full dinner. I try to avoid snacking because they pack on the pounds.
