I made Cheese Straws for the first time!

Clairdo2, Did you like your Cheese Straws after they ripened?

I made them for the first time today.

I kind of combined two recipes, and the chunk of cheese I used was more like 10 oz.

One of the recipes called for baking powder and the other didn't. I choose to use it! One recipe called for 1/2 cup butter and the other was 3/4 cup, I chose to use 3/4 and next time I think 1/2 would be enough. I also used 2 cups of flour.

When I was baking them I was being very careful not to overbake them. I think I may have underbaked them. They were good, but the second pan was a bit darker and they had much better flavor. I think the batch baked longer tastes just like Cheez-its!

Are these suposed to be stored in an air-tight cantainer? I don't know if they are completely w/o moisture.
