Yes, it is great stuff. Just put some on a piece of cardboard and they will be gone in days. I have used it for years.. A small bottle last a long time..

Do you know the spot where they are coming into the house? If you do, and if you can reach it, I have a tried-and-true solution. Windex. Windex is death to ants and spiders.

When we lived in California ant invasions were fairly common. I lived in a two-story townhouse, built on a slab. The ants seemed to always come in the house by crawling through a teeny-tiny "ant-sized" gap at the corner of the sliding glass door.

If I left the tinest crumb on the counter, I'd find a line of them in the kitchen the next morning. Sometimes the line was 1/2-inch wide. Look closely; half the group will be marching in, the other half marching out with the stolen goods in tow.

The first time I noticed them I crawled around and followed the ants through the kitchen, around the perimeter of the dining room, behind the aquarium, toward the sliding doors, and out the tiny gap.

I went outside and followed the continuing line. I didn't have any bug killer at all; I'd never had ants in my house before. I grabbed the Windex and soaked the outside corner of the patio door. I aimed it into the gap and really flooded it.

I went back in the house and continued spraying the line of ants with the windex and wiping them up with Windex-dampened paper towels. I put the used, ant-covered paper towels in a plastic bag as I went along.

It didn't take any time at all to wipe up 99.9 percent of the marching lines. I washed the saucer and continued wiping the counter with more Windex. There were one or two stray ants in the kitchen, looking for their confederates, but they were soon swiped up too.

The occassional shot of Windex outside the patio door, and constant vigilance about any smear of food left out, kept the invasions to a minimum.

Caroline, no idea, I wondered if it was behind the dishwasher since there were so many in there (that was one wash cycle that was not a full load, just a few plates and ants, lol! I may have to slide the dishwasher out this weekend and look behind it.

I highly recommend the Terro stuff!! And, yes get the Terro liguid stuff you put on cardboard.

I use Terro also, keep the pets away from it though. It is good stuff. The ants are drawn to it like it is honey.

I had them a few years back and I just washed the scent trail away. Later they came in another place, did the same thing and they never came back. You don't need poison. I was in The Olive Garden restaurant and ants were coming in the window by me. I moved then told the help, they just sprayed with ammonia and water to get rid of the scent trail.

My Grandmother had a completely natural,cheap, organic way to repell ants. She'd peel a few cucumbers and put the peels along the baseboards in the kitchen. It really works!

Terro is relatively safe. I think you are supposed to keep animals and kids away just in case but it's not scary poisonous.

I just recently had those little black ants all in my microwave, it is a built in vent hood type so no idea where they were coming from but they were actually coming out of the seams inside the microwave. I knew I could not use any type of chemicals in there so I soaked a paper towel in vinegar and wiped down the whole inside and picked up all the ants I could with the towel then I did another paper towel and left it inside the microwave closed up over night. Next morning not a single ant in site.

Could be why windex works too it does usually contain vinegar.

Ditto the cucumber peels! It really does work!

Long time user of Terro. Very effective. But you sometimes have to change it because once it dries/hardens, it's worthless. Put it behind an appliance or something, close to where you see ants. Once they find it, they'll go for it quick and the beauty of Terro is they take it back to the nest and kills more of them.
