You were so lucky to have been a good, close friend of MaryAnn's, and she was very lucky to have you, too. It's obvious how much you care about her and her family.

I hope her family and friends are able to remember all the good times and use those memories to help deal with the pain and the loss of such a dear sweet person. Hugs to all of you, Lisa.

Jenni in CA will be touched to hear that Chemo Sabe was with MaryAnn through all of this. She made her for MaryAnn. And the bookmark was very apropos, too, being such an avid reader.

Thank you so much for the news of the service. Mary Ann often spoke of the breakfast club and what I remember most was that she often said "we laughed and laughed". There was a lot of joy and friendship in her life.
Mary Ann will be deeply missed.

Oh, Lisa, thank you so much for finding our forum and sharing all of the details of the service with us. I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Ann and Jesse several times and my DH and I had the added pleasure of getting to ride motorcycles with the two of them in Eureka Springs, AR.

She spoke often of her friends in the Breakfast Club and I know she will be dearly missed there as well as at the KT.

Thank you all for your kind acceptance of my posting on your forum and I am glad my post was warmly accepted by you all. I appreciate your kind words back to me also. I know Mary Ann would have wanted me to share this day with yall and to be her voice to let jenni ca know that CHEMO SABE was a tresured item and to let yall know how truly special each and every one of you were to her. In writing about her and reading your posts it has helped ease some of my sadness because I feel as if I am among friends here. Thanks for all the invites to join in your discussions and I like to think Mary Ann orchestrated this whole thing with me finding her on-line friends! She was good at things like that. I am not sure I understand all about this forum stuff but I sure want to learn. I am sure it will be fun as I know she enjoyed it very much and in a sense it will help me still feel connected in someway to her. I would love to share some stories about her with yall if you're interested and I would love to hear yours as well. What was her name on here? Is there a way to find things she wrote on here?

Thank you for sharing this with us. What a wonderful friend you are. I did not know Mary Ann very well. Just what I read here on her posts. But I did very quickly learn that she was a very courageous lady who was always upbeat and treasured her friends and family.
I am sure we would all be very happy if you visited here as one of the KT. I'll move my chair over a little so that you can sit next to Mary Ann's and share some stories.

Oh my Lisa, I'm so happy you found us. Thank you for sharing with us the funeral service. I love that she has a bookmark with her. She and I shared a love for the same kind of books.

Thank you Lisa for filling us in on the beautiful service that was held for MaryAnn, that was very sweet of you to do that. I know how difficult it must be for you to lose a very dear friend.
At the top of this page in the little slot followed by the word 'search' I typed in MaryAnn TX and came up with some of the posts she had responded to. The forum at that time was called the the garden and flower craft forum. The posts I read dated back 2004 and 2002.
Maybe some of the others have more info for finding her older posts. I just did it to see what would appear.She commented on painting rocks, and grapevine wreaths.

Thank you Lisa for filling us in. Mary Ann was special to all of us. The Kitchen Table dates back probably close to 20 years now, if not over 20 years. Some of us have been here since the very beginning. Many of us have met other KTers in person. There have been some very special gatherings over the years. Many laughs and tears and oh the stories we could tell you. JoAnn has made a website to try and capture some of our special moments so that we don't lose those memories. This is from the get-together in Iowa in 2003. There are some funny photos and stories, we had so much fun. MaryAnn and Jesse drove up in her snazzy black car. YaYa was hobbling around with a broken ankle and strong men like Jesse (we call him Jammer) came in VERY handy!

We appreciate your taking the time to find us and let us know about the how beautiful MaryAnn looked and the details about the service. As someone said, your description was as if we were there. Thank you for that.

Some of my favorite memories of MaryAnn was in the early days when she joined the forum, I was talking about finding a new make-up and there was a long discussion about it. She sent me a 4 in. paint brush and some spackle, lolol.

I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the get togethers and she was the same sweet lady that I'd gotten to know online.

We shared something in common which isn't fortunate for either of us. We both have had cancer and we exchanged emails and cards quite often, both of which always made my day.

Again, thank you for thinking about us. It means a lot. She was a very special lady who will be missed very much.

Oh I was out of the loop and just found out that she passed. My condolences to you and for her family. Lost my mom in June and know the pain that cancer causes.

Lisa...thank you for finding us and telling us about Mary Ann's funeral...I haven't shed a tear until today cause I've been fighting it...it just didn't seem real to me that the lovely woman I met 7 years ago is gone...and to that damned cancer...it's taken to many people I love and MaryAnn was one of them...well I can barely see to type...you made it all so real...but in a good way...I know you'll miss her cause I sure will...

Come back and join us...we're always looking for new peeps to fill the chairs around our table!!

Lisa, I didn't know Mary Ann, but after reading your post I wish I had gotten to know her. What a wonderful friend you must have been to her. She was probably so thankful for such a person in her life. Your post touched me deeply and brought tears to my eyes. God Bless You!!
