Glenda/Nodakgal, I told Harry this afternoon that tomorrow we were having smoked sausage with cabbage and fried potatoes. I'm looking forward to it because tonight's dinner was in the top 5 of the worst I've ever put on the table!

Well, my pumpkin pie cake just came out of the oven and my place smells so good.

Friend had me over for dinner....chicken/shrimp alfredo, big salad, mixed vegetables, her famous carrot cake and ice cream. It was all so good, as was the conversation. She fixed up a darling basket of goodies for my birthday, so that was fun, too, plus a couple of glasses of white wine.

It was a busy day...boss is on the last of his bachelor party trips (at least I hope it is last!) and things are wild while we try to tie up a few loose ends for the wedding.

Hubby and I had check ups with the endo, (did great!) and then had to run the kitten to the vet, she's being spayed, so will pick her up Thursday night. So we stopped at a fairly new eatery, it was okay but over priced for what we had. I had a Gyro salad, he had Shrimp salad....both were good but very small.

I've been making pies this afternoon so needed something simple for dinner. I browned italian sausage and then added sliced yellow squash, tomatoes, onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Also had salad and crusty bread.

Patti, I'm trying for another 28 days, so 30 days total as I just started yesterday. I feel pretty icky today but it's normal in the beginning as the body starts to clean house. Hopefully it'll improve soon!

Wow, Chi! That's a long time. What kind of juices are you drinking? If you don't mind my asking, are you doing it for a health reason or weight loss? I'm not sure I'd have the will-power, so good luck to you. Hope today is better. After a few weeks, it may be a good time to schedule a colonoscopy--haha!

I'm going to have sauteed cabbage and onion with a splash of apple juice, mashed potatoes (have to use some up before they get wrinkled), and probably sausage or a pork chop tonite.

RC did post her Mexican Wrap recipe a while ago. I have it in my to-try binder.

Try a search here for it, it was only in the last month or so.

Patti - I'm drinking mostly green juices and some fruit juices. My juice today had kale, cucumber, spinach, parsley, apple, lemon and ginger. It actually tasted really nice, lightly sweet and energizing. I have one for lunch with beets, orange juice, apple juice and kale.

I'm doing it for both health and weight loss reasons. I recently watched the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and it was very inspiring.

I won't lie - I felt awful yesterday but that's normal. They call it detoxing because your body stops focusing on digestion and works on healing/cleaning so it's rough for a couple of days. But, I'm happy to report that I woke up this morning full of energy and I feel better than I've felt in years so hopefully only good things are ahead. :) I will keep you updated on the results I see!

I did a detox last january, but mine was using morning, afternoon, and evening pills. Worked. Got mine from our locally owned health food store, very reputable which I have used for many years.

gonna do another one before Christmas.
