One thing I like along with mayo, celery seed a little grated carrot..is small diced apple.

Mayonnaise, a few raisins,chopped celery and chopped onion.

My MIL used to make french toast tuna sandwiches.

She would make her tuna light with mayo, chopped boiled eggs, and a tiny bit of celery.

Then she would spread it on one side of bread, top with cheese, slap on the other slice of bread.

Then dip into beaten eggs and milk, on both sides and grill on her cast iron griddle. Yumo!

Mayo, diced (minced) onion, celery seed and or finely chopped celery, sea salt, pepper and if I have them on hand, green onion snipped up white and green part are evenly used. This is basically the same for egg salad and chicken, turkey or ham sandwiches. Personally I like lettuce so everything gets put on lettuce or baby spinach at this house on whole wheat toast. Sprinkle them with dried parsley. Hmmmmmm time to go raid the fridge.

I do diced onion & celery. Add some dill weed and a couple tablespoons of honey. Adds just a touch of sweetness! :)

In my tuna salad I have onion, celery, curry powder and cut up seedless grapes. Stir all together with some mayo it is delicious.

cubes of either colby or co-jack cheese to add in
also. Sometimes a little mustard too. I make the
sandwiches using whole wheat toast.

Hellman's regular mayo, finely diced onion and celery.

Lots of onions, Miracle Whip, pickle relish and sometimes chopped celery.

Onion, celery, sweet relish, chopped dills, Hellman's, Miracle Whip dried cranberries. You would be shocked at what a wonderful addition the cranberries are....Some times I add a tiny bit (few tablespoons) of my homemade Italian dressing.....

Tuna salad is one of my favorite sandwiches..

One of my friends owned a sub shop for decades and for the last 10 years it was named as the #1 spot for sandwiches. Her tuna salad was simply oil packed tuna and mayo, she used Tunaguys tuna. I love it.

Celery, hard-boiled egg, pickle relish, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, mayonnaise, mustard, black pepper, and water-packed tuna, drained.

EVERYTHING! I call it "clean out the fridge" tuna salad.

Depends on how ambitious I am. Standard is mayo and black pepper. I like onion, celery and carrot in the standard stuff too. But if I'm lazy or the fridge is bare it might be just mayo, relish and black pepper. I've also made an awesome version with chopped artichoke hearts, a touch of lemon pepper and mayo. That was for a tuna melt and some of the cheese was mixed in and some was on top. Artichoke hearts are great in tuna salad.

There are days dill or capers find their way in (or celery salt or whatever else I find).

2 cans tuna...one can pink salmon...3 boiled eggs finely chopped...2 or 3 celery stalks finely chopped...some chopped onion...some pepper...a bit of thousand island dressing...some mayo...blend and serve on a croissant slathered with philly cream cheese..

I buy mine already made in a nice plastic carton at WalMart near the deli. I use the canned tuna for Tuna and mac and cream of Chicken casserole

Lots of sweet pickle relish (I prefer hamburger relish) and just enough mayo to hold it together.

I get crunch and texture from the toppings on my sandwich. I don't like wet or mushy tuna salad and I want to taste the tuna not egg or onion.

Ruthie is right about the dried cranberries. They are a staple here for sprinkling on salads and adding to sandwiches.

I make it just like Mom, and we love it that way.

and I prefer it on extremely soft fresh white bread

Jason's deli make the best tuna salad. Just the way I like it.

I don't use mayo..but mashed avocado.

Mayonaise or similar, sweet pickle relish.

Other combinations may contain horseradish sauce.

If it's just for me,just mayo in tuna that was packed in water.I find the store brands are just as good and sometimes better than the name brands.

When dh makes it for us he uses relish,celery,onions,mayo.

If I have fresh dill I'll throw that in. I would also add black olives if I have that.

I don't like tuna salad at all. I prefer something like a chicken salad and I like some crunch in there so I put in finely diced onion and celery, a little mayo/MW binder, dash of Ranch dressing or flavoring, occasionally some cashews, though that's more for a salad rather than sandwich filler.

Tuna salad is my top go-to when I haven't really shopped or am in a rush or just plain lazy!

There's a little sandwich place in Winston-Salem, N.C., that I used to go to. Their tuna was great -- solid white tuna (guess that was years ago when there was really, really white tuna!). They added mayo, a diced apple (it might've been a Granny Smith but I just can't recall) and dried cranberries. I've used the same mix and I still love it (I'm sure there's one or two "secret" things I'm missing).

Most of the time, tho, I use mayo and diced celery. I put sliced onion on top when I make a sandwich (plus lettuce, cheese).

Funny, but I was always a Hellman's person. Two years ago, the store was out of Hellman's but had Kraft on sale. I've never had a jar of Hellman's in the fridge since then!

The first thing I do is wash the tuna in a collander to get rid of the fishy taste, Drain well. I use Hellman's mayo, chopped bread and butter pickles, celery salt and finally chopped boiled eggs. Sometimes I add just a bit of grated onion.

I used to have tuna on ritz crackers as a child. Good memory

Since I use tuna when I am low on food I put in staples that don't go bad quickly: onion, mayo, hardboil eggs and sweet relish. I like the idea of curry, dried cranberries and forgot about mustard.

I use water packed tuna and I'm a Miracle Whip person.

If I'm in a hurry for a quick lunch, I use just tuna and Miracle Whip, possibly with a little mustard, or sweet pickle relish.

I love this mix on a flour tortilla shell, topped with a slice or two of velveeta cheese and popped in the microwave just long enough to melt the cheese!

If I've planned ahead, I'll include chopped hard boiled egg.

I love the sound of the chopped apple and craisons.... the mention of craisons reminds me of Glenda's Alaska coleslaw, which is the best I've ever tased! I think I'm going to have to try adding them to tuna salad now too!

Most of you use basically what I use, I do like Miracle Whip instead of Mayo. I do like mayonnaise on a lot of things. Hard boiled eggs, celery, sweet pickle relish, onion sometimes and I use the same things for chicken salad. How many of you have fixed pork the same way? I like a cooked and ground pork sandwich.

Sliced olives with pimentos, drained tuna and Miracle whip. I love the stuff, grew up with it. Right now I have some cold cooked chicken breast. Going to dice it, add celery and Mayo. Hubby hates MW, it's been a point of disagreement all our time together, 35 years! Last night I ate cucumbers with MW,it was delicious. I also make a summer chicken salad with chicken, green grapes, mandarin oranges (drained) and a mix of sour cream and
MW.

Tuna packed in oil. Don't drain. Crumble a piece of wheat bread into it to soak up the oil and stretch a can of tuna. Diced onion, celery and dill pickle. Mayo, sprinkle of dried mustard, seasoning salt and pepper. Now I need a tuna sandwich. LOL

I forgot to ask: Other than the avocado mention, have you tried any "moistener" other than mayo or Miracle Whip?
