RC is a soft drink, like a Coke. Moon Pie is like a big cookie with marshmallow in the middle. LOL!

Jodi, The Mill has a special place in my heart. That 's where the biscuits and chicken gravy were made, in the area, Rome, GA.

The Mill is found on Mt Berry school campus, and back in the 50's it was a co-op.

Friends and I went with the mother of a friend, so he could enroll in school there.

She stopped the car by The Mill, and opened a can of SPAM. and we enjoyed spam sandwiches. First time in my life I ever had spam.

Each and every time I indulge in Spam, I think of that day.

I KNEW I shoulda sent you a Moon Pie.

Ahhh, Royal Crown Cola, I know all about RC Cola, my dad used to design billboards for them. I didn't even know it was still around.

Glenda, if I let them all take guesses, I need to be able to give them an answer. Please tell me it's peanut butter or Spam, I don't think I could handle knowing it really is possum.

By the way, I loved thinly sliced Spam smeared with mustard. Too many fat calories for me these days. Haven't had any since my metabolism retired abut ten years ago. LOL

Back when RC was made with real sugar and came in glass bottles, it was so good!

My husband went with me to the Galveston shelter to pick up some possums. He told the attendant...."So many possums....so few possum recipes!" LOL!!! I swear....I think the guy believed him.

RC Cola back in the day was good.

I've had Moon Pies but was never impressed with them. But then I can't stand Little Debbies either. I'm a Hostess gal.

I wouldn't open that can if I were you Jodi...LOL

There are whoopie pies, that are close to Moonpies! Never made one.

I think the roasted peanuts will be enjoyed by the gals, but Jodi, will have some cleaning up to do after they leave :o)

Glenda, if they're enjoying the peanuts, they can toss on the living room carpet and even grind them in and I won't care ... we're getting new carpet next week. :-)

I wonder if we have Moon Pies here is So Cal. I'll have to check around. Don't need them for the meeting though as I'm set with desserts.

I ordered a Cherry pie, Pecan pie and of course (you'll understand why if read the book) ... a Chocolate cream pie from Marie Callendars.

I took tomorrow off to get ready for the meeting. I will attempt to make cheese straws. I'm disappointed that I couldn't make them a day or two early so they could set but 10pm is the earliest I've left the office since Sunday. ugh.

If that doesn't work out, I'll be making cute little cucumber and pimento sandwiches. No time or energy to do much more.
