LOL Thanks Carol! WE are all in a great place...Brian and I...Sydney and both the boys!! Tan got his license he is now driving man they are all grown up! Makes me sad but sooo happy for my kids! So proud of them! Most espically Syd for all she has over come! I will take before and after pics...not sure if you remember but we painted her room bright orange....Now it is going to be in my lodging/rustic style can't wait to get started! My daughter movec out December 1. I immediately turned her empty bedroom into my craft room. I moved in all my yarn, books, knitting and sewing supplies, and my ironing board. Then she announced she couldn't afford the rent and was moving back in April 1, so I had to take everything back out.

Good for you! I said that, though, when my stepson went off to Baylor - he's back home! LOL

My DD will be out of the dorm life and into a duplex in August. I'm planning on painting and getting some new furniture for her old room aka our new den.:-)

I'm so happy for her.She truly has come a long way. Happy days for all of you. :-)

My kids are in their 30s, but I have kept their bedrooms as is, partly because I want them to know they have a room to stay in if they visit at the holidays or take some vacation time to see us. Our older son and our daughter now live only an hour away, and our younger son lives on the other coast. DD comes home with our two grandsons whenever her DH takes a business trip. We love having the company. Our younger son plans to visit over the July 4th to see everyone too, and he always comes home for Christmas and Thanksgiving, as does his brother. We get turns with DD and her family sharing with his parents. I would not lose their bedrooms for anything. In fact, now my grandsons sleep in their uncles' bedrooms when mom visits.

Stacy, my oldest daughter that moved to Edmond after I did is moving as well. Really close to the college this time. She is tired of fighting the morning and evening traffic.

This will put her on my side of the town.

Now, of course I wonder if they are going to live close. Mine is moving just east of the college.

Moni Sydney is living in Spring Creek Apts. of Edmond.....She is like 5 mins from the college...You know silly I don't know east or anything!

My daughter,(40) just this week moved back in, she had left her husband and her teenage daughter over a year ago,which was a shock to everyone,she was having an affair with someone at work, and moved in with him. This of course caused a lot of problems, her daugher was devistated,her husband was a mess... I am close to both of them.
It was many months before my daughter and I spoke..I finally told her I had to let go and fogive her, not for her, but for me.However our relationship was also strained. I told her I was concerned for her, as this man has a history of domestic abuse.
She called me last week, she needed out of the relationship. is broke and now worried about her job, since he is her superviser.
I told her, I had 3 rules...she had to be completly honest with me, NO drinking( this had been an issue with the boyfriend, she joined in) and she needed to seek conseling. So now she is living in our guest room..
But things are looking better, after talking to human resorces, her job is okay.. turns out this guy has a history of relationships with co-workers.She is looking into being switched to another department. And her daughter has been comunicating with her, very causiously, but a start.... So wish us all the best..

My best friend is 58 years old and single. She lives about 1,000 miles from her parents. Yet they maintain her bedroom and it looks the same as when she was a teen. She visits several times a year. And I have a sneaking suspicion they expect her to move back in someday. Oh, she moved out at 22. I've known her since we were 11.
