I don't know how to post a pic, but you can get the idea pretty easy by the instructions. go to goodwill and buy an old woman's dress, purse, shoes,some old neckless, like pearls, stockings(knee highs) a cane(if you want to use one), and a babies bunting outfit or some kind of a one piece outfit w/ a hood. Try the hood on your head to make sure it fits you. now stuff all of the babies outfit w/ cotton or newspaper except the hood. you will need a backpack, stuff it also, now put the backpack on you then your dress(that's what gives you the hump back) then have someone to safety pin the baby outfit on your back w/ the hood on you. pin it at the hands, and at the shoulders, let the rest just hang loose. we also pinned a pacifer to the glove part of the outfit. now get you an old woman's mask and pin it right below your chin on the dress. we had an old mask and I stuff it w/ paper then got a wig head and bought two eyes and glued them on the head so it looks like the mask has eyes.now just walk bent over and you are the hit of the party.I have a pic of my daughter in this outfit, but she would choke me if I put it on here, but if you will email me I would be glad to email youthe pic. also check out on yahoo, search walking illusions or walking illusion costumes, ther are some pretty funny ones there.

Thanks everyone for all the fun ideas. For a while there I was considering having DH be a king and I'd be a court jester. But, the party is on a Fri. night, which makes prep a little more tricky, decided to keep things simple also since we're hosts... so we are going to be the Skipper (DH) and Gilligan (me) from Gilligan's Island.

Good for you! It sounds really cute! One time years ago a coworker brought in a cute little reindeer made out of a little girl's sock. It had red felt antlers and wiggly eyes, a pompom nose and painted on mouth. It was stuffed and the opening tied with lace. Her sister in law was selling them for something like $12 bucks each! I went out and got a six-pack of socks and made a dozen of them for less than the lady wanted for one! Donna

DH and I went as a "Chick Magnet" and a "Cereal Killer" one year. He's not into the costume thing, so I had to keep it simple. I bought construction paper and cut out chick shapes, and glued little feathers to them, then taped them all over his shirt front and back. Slicked his hair back and talked him into wearing a big 70's looking gold chain. That's all he was willing to do. I took big hoop earrings and a long thin necklace and strung them with froot loops cereal. Then got the little individual boxes of cereal, cut them open, glued a plastic knife into the center and taped them all over my shirt. Bought a tube of "white" blood and splattered it on my shirt around the boxes, and drizzled some down the corner of my mouth. It was really easy and we had so much fun.
