Monthly luncheon with water aerobics group, and 12 of us dined at Logan's.

I had their 6 oz sirlion, medium rare, with salad and skewered mushrooms.

I just had a piece of fried chicken and some warm french bread with butter. When hubby gets home I'll throw together a fritata (sp) with bacon, onions, leftover fried potatoes and eggs.

Rainy morning here, but a sunny afternoon. We will have pork cutlet, salad and bread.

Light rain here this morning and clouds now allowing a little sun through.

Dinner (supper in my world) will be leftovers from last night. Smoked turkey sausage sauteed with three color peppers and onions, Betty Crocker's Cheesy Hashbrown Potatoes and steamed broccoli. All from last evening's supper. A plate of raw veggies on the side for 'crunch' instead of a salad.

Have a pumpkin dessert for later that daughter sent over.

Today was a big shopping day with Cheryl, Amber and Alyssa. Lunch was a chicken salad sandwich from Chic Filet and mid afternoon was a caramel apple shake. My supper will possibly be a lunch meat sandwich. Not hungry at all right now. Very nice weather today sunny and great.

I've got a spatchcocked chicken marinating in buttermilk, Penzey 's Southwest seasoning, minced garlic, lime zest, and tobasco. I'll make a sauce (minus the buttermilk) for a quick baste after I put it on the grill.

I'll make a lime /honey vinaigrette dressing for a mixed greens and fruit salad (mango, grapes, cantaloupe, red onion, pineapple) .

Can't wait!

Sue: You have so many interesting restaurants you go to. Chicken salad is one of my favorites. And I'd love just one big gulp of your milkshake (I'll use my own straw). I'll bet you're really tired out by now.

I am making potatoes O'Briens with sliced smoked sausage cooked in it. Not sure what else yet. But we have lattice peach pie for dessert.

It's just a butchering technique where the backbone is removed, allowing the bird to be flattened on the grill. Butterflying might be another word for spatchcock.

We are having ham steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and applesauce. Dessert is tomato soup cake, haven't made it in years.

Ravencajun: Do you make your potato dish from scratch? I've only tried the frozen variety. Can I have a small amount of ice cream on my piece of pie?

Nita: I've never heard of that cake, but wouldn't mind trying a bite. My sister, Annie, and I would love to share your meal. It's one of her favorites.

DH has a business dinner, so it's solo for me. Think I'll have an egg white omelet with fresh sauteed veggies and a little pesto.

The only way I roast or grill turkey/ chicken is to butterfly it, even at Thanksgiving. Takes a little extra time, with good results.

We got our phone and internet hooked up today at our new place. We moved over the weekend, and part of last week. It's just down the street, so we've been dollying the boxes thru the week and Sat was the big stuff.

I made a beef stew today using hoisin sauce and it was just delicious. I made mashed potatoes using sweet and new potatoes, and we loved them. We want to eat more sweet potatoes, and I doubt if I can eat them without regular potatoes, so combining them is just right.

We had rice, roasted veggies (leek, butternut squash, carrots, celery, sugar snap peas, red pepper) and chicken in a tomato onion sauce with some balsamic vinegar. Might have fat-free Greek yogurt and peaches for dessert.

I can not decide..

Something with ground beef,...might do a stroganoff sauce on rice..

Boys want burgers..I don't wanna..I want meatloaf...Kamren won't eat it...

Oh I need to figure it out though..

Oh Gosh, everyone's meal sounds so good. I left here at 9:30, played bridge and had lunch, then a friend and I went looking at materials for my bedroom windows, dust ruffle and seat cushions. Then we went to Costco. I didn't get home from Costco until 6:00 so didn't really feel like cooking. Knew I wouldn't, so I picked up a roast chicken when I was at Costco. Just had a piece of chicken...didn't even make a salad. I hope to get to bed early tonight.

Matti: Your meal tonight sounds like it would fit right in with your Weight Watchers program. How are you doing with it?

Jasdip: You've had a busy few days. I like a good beef stew. I've never thought of mashing the two different potatoes together. But I will give it a try.

Stacey: All those vegetables would be a real treat. I really like greek yogurt.

Georgysmom: Can you believe I've never gotten a roasted chicken from the store!! I'd probably want to sit down and eat half of it.

Well..I did a pasta bake..
If I add enough cheese..hubby will eat it..

So it was mini penne, layer of provolone and cream cheese, cheddar, parm and red pepper flakes then ground beef and marinara..baked til gooey..

Everyone was happy...or at least full..
