I used to love that dried beef in a jar and serve it with a sauce on toast.

Opted not to join group from church, that were going to Outback's. They went last Sunday as well. Plus I'm going to Loghan's with my water aerobics lunch group tomorrow, so........

Went to Taco Bell for a steak quesadellia, senior discount.

I'm satisfied.

I don't usually post my meals here, because they sound so plain next to all of yours. But tonight is an exception. We are having cider-braised pork shoulder with caramelized onions over egg noodles and sauted spinach with shallots. No dessert.

Terri: Your meal sounds very tasty. How do you do your baked apples?

We're just going to have Chinese take out. Moo goo gai pan and egg drop soup for me. Robert can't decide yet.

Kris..that sounds super yummy too..I have a bottle of hard cider in the pantry..maybe I should include that in my dinner..

Shirley, I actually do a "pie filling" without crust...core, peel and slice..bit of brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla sugar and a few dabs of butter..cover with foil and bake at 350 til soft..delish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting into it.

Making beef stroganoff tonight as I had all the ingredients on hand. Will accompany it with egg noodles.

Kris, your meal sounds yummy! I love carmelized onions. A friend of mine makes carmelized onion jam that is delish on just about everything!

Terri, I enjoy making the apple pie filling as it is Weight Watcher friendly ( a smidge of butter). Maybe I'll do that for dessert :)

Crab & cheese ravioli with vodka sauce

Kris, are you kidding? Lots of times it's just eggs and bacon, BLT's, egg salad sandwich, grilled cheese or as in my case tonight, pizza. Sometimes we feel like cooking, sometimes we don't. That's what I love most about this daily post. It removes some of the guilt when I see other people are just like me. Glad to have you join us.

Rhizo: I wish I could have been at your house tonight to try the chinese foods. I've never had either of the dishes you mentioned.

Matti: I've never tried beef stroganoff either. It sounds good over noodles.

Kittiemom: I had to look up the vodka sauce. It sounds like a good combo.

It's been cloudy and rainy in the Mid-Atlantic area for the last four days--over 4" of rain, so I decided it was a spaghetti and meatballs kind of day. The best part was that I pulled it out of the freezer, last night. Except for salad and garlic bread, I didn't have to do anything--and it tasted very good, if I do say so, myself.

The TV weather forecaster just said some areas in this region have gotten over 8" of rain. But clearing is finally forecast for tomorrow.

Georgysmom: I never liked pizza as a kid or an adult. A couple of years ago, I tried again and decided I liked it. So now I often have one or two in the freezer.

Mwheel: Wow, that's a lot of rain!. Spaghetti and meatballs (or just meat sauce) is in my top 20 of meals. Isn't it great to have prepared food on hand?

Today was a busy, busy one. Lunch after church was a hot ham and cheese from Hardee's. Supper was 3 different pizza's. Two from Pizza Hut and one from Little Cesar's. I just got home and will go to bed soon.

We had steak cooked on the George Foreman grill. sauteed Kale, cole slaw, baked potato and banana pudding. Lots of leftovers for tomorrow! Yeah, I won't have to cook again!

we went out to HuHot. OMGosh, I love that place. You get a bowl, fill it with whatever ingredients you like, add sauce and they cook it on a big round grill.

5 meat choices, many seafood choices, three types of noodles, many many fresh vegetables, tofu, beans, then on to the sauces and oils....probably 20 different ones.

You choose what you like, it's all fresh and cooked as you watch. And.....you can go back as many times as you want. I got three small servings of different things.
Now, I'm STUFFED. And, it's all healthy.

Baked Italian Subs! New recipe. Won't be on the menu again. Hubby choked it down though.

We had sweet corn on the cob and burgers. Went out for breakfast in the morning so didn't eat lunch. Carmel frosted chocolate or yellow cupcakes for dessert.
