Need One of Those Scary Pop-Ups

You know the ones! You're told to "turn up your speakers" and you watch a video about something that really has you attention and all at once this face pops up screaming....and scares the yabba dabba doo outta you!

bronwynsmom...I am getting the pop ups also and they get in the way of my trying to change from one forum to another! Annoying YES...I even have a program that usually blocks pop-ups, but not here. I imagine it is sanctioned by GW as a form of money making advertisement. Just my guess, but I think they do have control over it and that they have choosen to have them. Good seeing you !

Grubby_Me I am not sure what your point is. People are not whining about anything. Ads and especially popups make using the system difficult. People show their appreciation by participating and making the website a success. Thanks for the adblock link. It installed just fine. As to this forgery screen that was popping up on me... I know now that it was one more virus ploy and that if I clicked on either of their two fake buttons I was opening the door for them to download their garbage on my system. I did a system restore back to where I had not clicked on their stupid screen and most of the new programs they had added disappeared from my control panel. Hopefully that has taken care of it.

I am using them only for the island. They will be accessible trhough access in the back of a cabinet should the need arise to replace. We do a TON of work from home work on our kitchen island, and therefore a plug in the island is necessary. Also - I am not a fan of hanging cords over the edge when using beaters or Cuisinart, etc. The will be placed along the centerline over 24" back - less likely to be in the completely messy zone. In the actual counter - I'll use plugmold down low.

Thanks!! I'm really looking for a couple that don't alert the viewer they're about to get scare out of their wits! Any idea where I might find a couple of those?

I was just going to say.....they aren't very scary when you know that is what they are going to do.

I remember the first one I ever saw..it was an empty table sitting in a room and you were supposed to look for something wrong with the pic...I was leaning in to get a good view of what was wrong....bamm...it liked to scare me to death and back...

My nephew has gotten me with these every darn year!!!
I always email him and chew his butt (laughingly)
This year he emailed me a Halloween greeting so I was on the edge of my chair (you gotta know this guy!) I had to click quite a few times on different parts of it, kept waiting for something to jump out and scare me the rest of the way off it.
It was a SWEET card with nothing scary! bwahahahaha
I emailed him and said "ya got me again darn you". He still laughed his tail off at me! ;)

Hope you find one CB, or I might have to email him and ask for one! LOL
