Who's going to watch Survivor???

Tonight's the night...AND would you believe, I'm going to another darn card party...But the recorder will be ready and I'll catch the show when I get home.....Next week, I'm staying home!

We'll be watching. I am ambivilent about the mix-up of the teams, I don't think I was used to who was on what tribe before and now I'm just plain confuzzled! lol

Tonight's menu, for us, steak, sweet potato and salad. Yum. I hope they enjoy their dwindling rice.

So what do you all think? Is Ace's accent real or fake? I think he's faking it like that really weird guy on Pirate Masters last year, ol' Azimuth.

Special Agent is a very broad term. It applies to anyone working for a Federal Government agency who has the people to arrest those who are in violation of his agencies area of investigation or concern. A food inspector may be a federal agent. Like the guy who comes around looking for roaches in the local diner's kitchen. I had an Indian friend who could carry the title and be armed because he was a liaison for his tribe and the US government. Anyone who is employed in federal intelligence is a Secret Agent. In Philips case I believe he sat behind a 'puter doing employee background check. That would make him a "secret" agent but in a broad use of the term. LOL Phillip is using the term and making waves with it because most people envision James Bond when they hear the term. LOL

I was glad Bob won. I think Susie was a deserving second place. Susie gets dogged for riding coattails, but middle age/older females generally don't do well in this game. They aren't physical and usually they don't get much resect from the youngsters. Slow and steady gets it. She was useful around camp. She won two immunity challenges. I wouldn't have been upset if she won because she did what it took to stay in the game. She was a little annoying, but not really mean like some of the others. That tribal council was one of the worst I've seen. I didn't expect that many people other than Randy and Corrine to be so bitter. Crystal redeemed herself. She had a lot of graciousness and just admitted she sucked. I really figure out what was up with Charlie and his cuddling. I liked him better before that. I'd expect Marcus to be more gracious. I was reading some stuff about Charlie, Marcus, and Corrine coordinatng outfits for tribal council. I started watching for it last night. That was too funny.

I can't believe there's only one left after tonight. The only one I really, really don't want to see win is Sash. Can't stand his smugness. I just hope they can get him out tonight. I do love Fabio, he's completely clueless and adorable. I haven't heard him say one mean word about anyone, not even Nay.

I agree with Littlebug's assessment -- Wild and Crazy Guys was one of the funniest skits over the years! Also, I would rather have seen the players in their original skits instead of guest stars impersonating them, say, Rosanne Rosanadana (I'm sure there were a lot more 'n's in there!). Taylor Swift and the rest of the "Californians" piece was blah -- did she not realize that when she covered her face with her hair, she couldn't be heard? I really did love those brief clips of the comedians cracking up spontaneously while doing their skits. One question: Do you think Lorne Michaels looked somewhat pained at the end, when they brought him up for a standing ovation? I understand that the 40-year mark isn't just professionally -- it hits your very own soul about how much older you are, and I wonder if it was a melancholy moment for him in that respect (in addition to seeing all the faces of people he's worked with -- hired, too -- who are now gone). One more thing: Maya Rudolph was fantastic as Beyonce -- and the giant fans that Beyonce actually uses in concert blowing Maya's co-comedian Martin Short nearly off the stage! ... Kanye, no. He couldn't even play his "annoyed" part right -- too much grinning, not enough angriness.

I finally got caught up. I missed the first episode and didn't record it - so last weekend I watched everything up to date online at cbs.com.

I'm all set for tonight!

Ace has a phoney-baloney accent! Besides, he's just plain creepy, Flamey! Ever see the looks he gives people? Gotta love that CBS edit'ing, eh? LOL!

DH and I have watched Survivor each and every season. It is one of our favorite shows and Thursday evening has become 'date night' for us.

Tonight's menu is tossed green salad, rotini pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe, garlic bread, and cherry pie. (DH's favorite dessert).

I shall be watching..and a few of the boys will be with me..Daddy thinks Survivor is STUPID...LOL

~and yes the accent is FAKE! He doesn't always have it..only when he thinks some from the tribe is paying attention..often on his "single" camera time..it's not there at all.
