Dear Prissy, I would do a sample page and then stop and figure out how much it costs to do the sample page and then X it by the number of pages she wants done. (Agree on a specfic number of pages BEFORE agreeing on a price, that way new photos she brings in will not put you out more dollars, and you know we all find extra photos once we start looking.) I would then add what ever you value your time by at. If you are a fast scrapper then you could probaly charge less, if you on the other hand are a very slow but artistic with lots of paper piecings, punches, etc, then I would have to raise my salary a little or charge by the hour. Remember to add the cost of the album, as a matter of fact it might be best if she bought the album that way it would be EXACTY the one she wanted. Remember to include the costs for stickers, die cuts, card stock, page protectors, etc. It might be best to make up 3 sample pages one that is simple and on the plain side, one page with die cuts and some pattern paper and a few embelishments and then a third page that is loaded with goodies and time and money consuming style. That way you could say example one cost x amount, example 2 cost X amount and example # costs x amount, and she could either choose one example of how she wants her book or she could choose 4 page of example 2, 3 of 1, etc. and then you could more accurately price her album and both of you would not be disappointed Penny

Hi Kathy, From your post I gather that you are from the Atlanta area. I've been Scrapbooking on and off for years. I recently started digital scrapbooking and really prefer it. I use an older version of Picture It which was replaced by MS Digital Image Suite. I have read that MS has now discontinued that also. You can still buy Digital Image Suite reasonably on Ebay and Amazon, I'm considering getting it to upgrade. I think that Office Max is also still selling it. I have Photoshop Elements but find that difficult to use. Picture it is easy to use and I get good results.
