I am near both Monica_PA and Softball_80...southeastern PA. I love the rural area I live in...adjacent to several hundred acres of preserved reservoir land. The surrounding county is lush with many, many farms. All with alternating crops (for erosion reasons) makes for beautiful landscaped fields. I love that it takes me 10 minutes to get to work, grocery store, hardware store, vet, church, and 4 out of 6 family members. I love the availability of affordable fresh food, gardening supplies, reputable tradesmen (everybody knows your Mom and Dad, so don't even think about it!), faith-based businesses (no deposit required...pay for your oil change next time your by here...etc.) I love that I can go to the beach, the mountains, fishing, hiking, Philly, New York, Baltimore or DC for a day trip. Most of all, I love my house. I hope I never have to leave it.

I have used those Argentina shrimp and think they taste more like lobster then a shrimp when butter dipped. That huge vein is roe in the shrimp, the vein lays under it. A lot of waste considering the heavy shell. They are unusually soft after còoking. My fish monger said he hears alot of complaints about texture. I have used them on and off for about a year. I always notice a much stronger smell from the opened bag and when cooking. Suspect they are not being handled carefully on the boat. None of the other kinds of shrimp have those issues. I worked in my family owned fish market for years, know fresh seafood does not smell. I will not buy the pink Argentina shrimp again.

Central OH. I was raised near Cincinnati - my husband and I moved to San Diego to find work (for him, a carpenter) in late 1979 due to the recession - construction and factory jobs had crashed to a halt. I stayed there after we split; really felt more at home there than I ever had in OH. But, after almost 13 years, the cost of living was becoming a strain and I wanted some family near as well - so back to OH, this time to Columbus, though, and I have found it to be a very pleasant place to live. Lots of parks, cycling and hiking, great live music, very many good and varied restaurants including lots of ethnic (various African, middle eastern, and other-than-Chinese Asian.) All sorts of activity. The past two summers have been hotter and more humid than the first 25, but I still find them tolerable (I like heat) and the winters are still pretty moderate -- the past 2 weeks of erratic weather notwithstanding - I don't mind them at all. Still, I think about trying another part of the country. I would like to go back to the San Diego area but do not think it would be a wise financial move.
