If anybody gives that new Hurricane spin mop a try, post back as to how it worked for you (or didn't!). There has been an infomercial on it recently. I dislike probably ever mop I've bought -- the string mop, the mop that has strips of a felt-like microfiber (like the Wonder Mop, like Libman makes), the sponge mop (I can never get the replacement sponges in easily). I don't use Swiffers anymore, but I do use a Libman Freedom Soft Mop, with the cloths you pull off the mop head and toss into the washing machine. Here is a link that might be useful: Hurricane Spin Mop

Just returned from a hotel visit. I had already seen this video, so when i saw only glassed a ceramic coffee mugs, I was not happy. I needed to take some pills, so I went with the coffee mugs thinking they would probably be used more often, and therefore replaced more often. The first mug I picked up, looked like it was sticky and had dust sticking to the sides. the second mug looked a little better, so i just ran it under some hot water, and then wiped it with a hand towel. I still didn't feel great about drinking out of the mug. To the poster that mentioned the black light and bodily fluids. The black light pick up other things beside just bodily fluids. Black Light Uses If you walked around all night with a portable black light, you would discover that there are phosphors all over the place. There are lots of natural phosphors, in your teeth and fingernails, among other things. There also a lot of phosphors in manmade material, including television screens and some paints, fabric and plastics. Most fluorescent colored things, such as highlighters, contain phosphors, and you'll find them in all glow-in-the-dark products.

I've always travelled a lot for my job and when I was single I tried to turn nearly every trip into a long weekend. So I have been alone in many places, although being alone when you are single is different because sometimes you do ...ahem... meet someone. I am not uncomfortable being alone, but I usually find it boring after day or two. Based on my experience, then, I would go on some sort of educational or culinary or outdoors trip with a group. For example, I've always wanted to do a Backroads trip. I also have a friend who specializes in luxury travel, and she has organized a few "luxury wellness retreats for women." One of them I've considered is in Morocco. One question to ask yourself is, if DH is into photography, what are you in to? Without having to consider others, what would you find the most fun? You could also consider voluntourism. As far as an anniversary trip, do what i just did. One of my kids has an app called "been there". I used it to enter every place we have been. It then creates like a 3-d spinning globe and shows you where you "missed!" Based on that, I have some new ideas. For example, I am missing a whole swath of (true) Eastern Europe, from Estonia to Latvia to Poland to Slovakia and Slovenia. That is now on our list. Other ideas. Maybe it is not so much where you go as how. For example, I have been to Paris many times. But renting a Paris apartment for a month and living there, enjoying the quotidian, might be a totally different experience. Same for living in a bungalow in, say, Costa Rica. How about training for a certain big trip together, like a big bike tour or climbing a mountain? Happiness researchers say anticipating vacation is a large part of the satisfaction we get from travel. ETA -- I was trying to remember and just looked it up, I always wanted to do the Milford Track.http://vivalifestyleandtravel.com/new-zealand/health-and-fitness/list/best-hikes How about Antarctica? We went just to tick the box on Continent 7, but we all loved it. A luxury cruise? The Amazon? Those little huts on stilts in the South Pacific?

I would not want to go back and meet my ancestors, as I think that a lot of them were mean and cruel, at least from what I know about them. My father was bad enough, and he learned his cruel behavior from his male ancestors. His great-grandfather did free his slaves, however, and paid them wages instead of making them work for free. I never met my paternal grandfather, but my cousins told me that he was cruel, and some of my male cousins on that side of the family were also cruel. It seems that mainly the men were bad, but not all of them. If you go to the future by only a few years, or up to 100 years, things might be bleak, but if you go to the future 1000 years from now, things might have worked themselves out. I would want to travel to a time in the future when there are no more fundamentalist religions and no more religious conflicts or wars. I don't know how long it will take humans to learn to live peacefully, since wars have been prevalent as long as civilization has existed. I would like to go to a time in the future when greed would be a thing of the past.
