Survivor last night?

What's with all the praying going on all of a sudden? It's like Benjamin, aka "Coach" got a religious bee up his bum and decided everyone needed to drink some of the Brandon religion koolaid. That kind of public display always makes me uncomfortable, and I could tell Sophie was not into it!

Thought Ozzie's move was brilliant. Hope it turns out to make him look like the biggest fool in Survivor history yet--asking to get voted out while publicly having an immunity idol. Go Christine, I've had about enough of Ozzy as I can take!

I have no clue where Coach's public religious displays came from. I am a practicing Roman Catholic and they made me uncomfortable, just like Matt last season. I agree with other posters, excessive public display makes it seem insincere.

I hope Ozzy gets his butt kicked at Redemption. Not that I'm particularly a fan of Christine but I cannot stand Ozzy. He thinks way too much of himself. I still don't like the idea of bringing back former players.

Poor Cochran, he is so out of his element and not one person on his tribe supported him. I hope he wins it. And least that's who I'm rooting for for now, haha.

Coach is the biggest hypocrite, all his talk about God and honesty and loyalty, while he's pretending to find what he's already got--- such a poser jerk. "Get on your knees, get on your knees, get on your knees!" "Hey, look at how great we are, we got on our knees!" Ugh, shiver, shudder, why anyone does a single thing he says is beyond me, he needs to be kicked to the curb. All the praying for a GAME? It's a game. Yeah, it's the most special he's ever felt in his life, it's all he's got because everyone knows what a jerk he really is, but it's still just a game. And once again, he stays out of the physical part of the challenge by being a caller, which means he can not be blamed if they get beaten. He is such a wuss. Picture me, hoping for a well-placed bolt of lightning. :)

Ozzy is a waffler. "I'll go to Redemption Island." "No, Cochran has to go, he blew it for us." "No, wait, I'll go. It's my chance for a big move." MAKE UP YOUR MIND! lol It'll be funny if this bites them all in the butt and there's no immediate merge AND Ozzy loses to Christine.

I'm rooting for Dawn, she's smart, stays out of the fray, works hard, is strong. At the end of the blindfold challenge, did you see the women with their blindfolds still on, running into each other and bonking heads? That made me LOL. Why they didn't take off their blindfolds, I don't know.

It wasn't a regular Survivor "game on" show. They just showed some extra footage and some more in depth interviews with the remaining contestants. Survivor competition returns on Thurs. April 2nd.

Yep, Hubs and I are watching this season. Hubs wondered how the heck the folks on the Brain tribe managed to get onto that tribe, because they all seem like idiots. And we both think that every time the Brain tribe cooks some rice to eat, T'Jia should only get about three grains of rice for every bowlful that the others get (and that would be being generous to her). We were also both amazed that the Beauty tribe would consider (even for a nanosecond), voting out LJ (the hunky horse trainer). He's the strongest person on that team, so they need him for challenges; and he is the one who came from way behind and won the puzzle challenge last week. On the Brawn tribe, Tony-the-cop really is a snake, isn't he? Hubs said he's probably a dirty cop! We, too, were having trouble figuring out which girl went with which name (on the Beauty tribe) because they just haven't shown much of them. We do know which one is Jefra (the blond three-time loser of the Miss Whatever pageant), but we didn't know who was Morgan and who was whatever the other name is. Agree with you that the numbers need to get down before it will become really interesting.

What baffles me, is how they decided to vote Brenda out. I could see no reason at all, and yet Naoka (or what ever herr name is) was already a mouthy, mean and explosive character. I still think the older tribe will have great advantages over the younger. Just the ability to deal with others will make a big difference. I think their main concern about the girl with the art. leg (I wish I had a name for her) is that if she makes it all the way to the end, she could have an edge, like a little sympathy, that could swing the vote. It would be nice if it could just not be taken into cinsideration, but you can't count on that.

"So now Julie can take her DDs and run into the warm arms of her creepy boyfriend. Sheesh, what a fool. It's Survivor. You are going to be cold, wet and hungry!!!" It REALLY irked me when she whined about how she'd been away from her boyfriend for three weeks. Boo hoo! I sat there and screamed at the TV, "Oh, yeah? Well what about all of the men and women in our military who are away from their entire families for months on end? And some of them never get to come home!" "I wonder if she'll make the jury?" No, there are too many of them left for there to be jury members now. And in the past when someone quit at a time when the person voted out would be on the jury, Jeff said that when a contestant quits, they don't deserve to be on the jury -- they are out of the game. (And, personally, I think that's why they like to have three finalists now --- the jury is supposed to have an odd number of people [from when there were only two finalists] so that there won't be a tie vote. But with three finalists, it doesn't make a difference if the jury is odd or even [unless it's divisible by three].) "She was not into the game the only reason she would ever consider it was because of her jockhead boyfriend. He has probably found another one while she was gone and that may well be what she was afraid of." When contestants are voted off, they are sent to another location where they all stay together. No one comes back to the USA until the final votes have been cast. So, John wouldn't have a chance to hook up with anyone else, unless he hooks up with another contestant who has been voted off.

Flamingo I always look forward to your review of Survivor - you always get it right!!

I agree there is waaaaaaay too much praying going on. If I want to hear praying I'll go to church, I don't want to see it on Survivor. Like Flamingo said, this is a GAME!

Yep, it's a game! I agree with all the praying, just not the place for it....I haven't really liked Ozzie from the beginning and dislike him more now...I do hope they wait for the merge and Christine kicks butt...Although I don't care for her, but she's good.....

Who exactly is Coach? What does he do in real life or does he do anything????Disliking him more and more......

Thanks, Casey, I'm glad we agree on this. :)

Oh, one more point- shameless movie promotions- wouldn't you think they could come up with better movies for this show to promote? This is another Survivor movie I know I won't go to or ever rent. It looked horrible. If they hadn't served food, I bet all those players would have walked out on it, except for Coach, who dreams I'm sure of being a movie star. Last year's movie was bad, too, it just seems so forced and awkward to force them to watch a movie in the middle of a game. I always end up feeling used by being forced to watch that crap. Just give 'em the food and a t-shirt or a shower for Pete's sake. At least the video/cell phones serve a purpose when they do that show every season.

I am so hoping it is the biggest move in Survivor history and that move is that once again Ozzy gets booted out of the game AGAIN while holding an immunity idol. Has he learned anything seems NOT? I hope Cochran holds on to that idol and never gives it up! OH all fear the mighty Ozzy, it would be so good to see him beat by a girl!

I can't get over how stupid, shallow and self-centered these people are to think God has nothing better to do than help them win their Survivor challenges. [Right up there with the big music entertainers who are always thanking God for their success as they spew out their music videos featuring half-nekked-thrusting-hootchie-mamas]
I'm hoping Christine stomps all over the Oz............

I don't like Coach and I haven't ever liked him. I was not an Ozzy fan, but I have to admit that was a pretty gutsy move on his part. Of course he does like to be center stage on everything. Poor Cochran, he is pathetic.

Ozzy makes good eye candy, but he probably would have been bette off doing only one or two seasons. I don't think last night's move was the smartest, but you have to give him credit for being willing to take a chance.

Coach is back to his first season unlikeable self.

I've had enough of bringing the old people back unless you have a season like Heros versus Villians. I'd also like to have some people who are normal people and not actor wannabes.
