I've had the best of the best, but I've also had horrible ones. I never stayed with the horrible ones, so most of my career was with great bosses.

When I became boss, I was a good one--most of my former employees still keep in contact with me (and I've been retired for almost 15 years).

I had a GREAT boss, way back when... I was an apprentice, in Germany. Never had such a great boss again.

Now a days, I have my home job. Lots of flex time. But really never a day off, unless I go on an extended bike about, or otherwise out of town.

Some days, being a housewife and all that entails suck, and others it is just fine. :)

Yes I had a pretty good one at my last job.

Well, I married one. :-)

My current boss is great. We have lot of fun together at work and get a lot done, too. He's a funny guy and really easy to get along with and I work hard while we're laughing. So he's happy with me, too.

My boss from my last job is one of the best! He cared/cares so much about all his employees. He still stays in touch to make sure I'm doing okay.

I had a great manager when I first went into sales.
He built the most successful branch office in the country, due to his constant mentoring of all of us.
Making calls, closing deals, business ethics and taking care of customers...he taught me so much.

He taught me to listen, think out of the box, and go for a solution instead of just a sale. He taught me how to keep a customer, and not just drop them after the contract is signed.

I have had several good bosses, one male and two females.
I have a wonderful boss/manager at my job right now.
She is just wonderful and is down to earth.

I've had more good ones than bad ones. One of the bad ones wasn't as bad as he was just stupid. One of my bosses bacame my best friend. We are both now retired and are still best friends today. The last boss I had was wonderful. He was easy to work for and easy to talk to. He is also a dog lover/spoiler so we have a lot in common.

I've had a couple nice ones and a few that were just terrible.

One was not so good, but other than that ONE, the others were faily decent. Principals of course :o)

My bosses were principals, too, as I was the high school secretary. They were all good, as I look back, and very appreciative. One was a bit dorky, but was nice to me, so that's what counts!

I've been here 40 years. In my first 20 years or so I had about 4 bosses total. In the more recent 20, about 12. A few were great, most were at least good, three were absolutely slimy smarmy snakes! I'm a survivor, I've outlasted (in one case, outlived one of the slimys) them all. My current boss is the SON of a previous boss! He's one of the good ones.

My definition of a good boss: One who lets me do my job without interference, gets me tech support or tools or whatever I need to do my job when I ask him for help, and has my back on the very rare occasions when something goes wrong and we get an irate customer complaining to the higher-ups. He can have any credit we get when we do well.

Haven't had a great one in years. My current one is okay, but not great. I'd have to go back to my early working days in Chicago & my first job out west to find the really, really good ones. I'm happy having a decent one now & my working days are numbered so I'm fine.

The best boss I ever had was in 2002-2003, then she transferred to a different agency.

My boss from 2004 till about 3 weeks ago was really great in most respects, but was hardly ever around. That was ok most of the time, but if you really needed him for some reason, you were out of luck.

The boss I have now (new to our group as of about 3 weeks ago) has said all the right things so far, but only time will tell how good she is going to be.
