I am sure there have been many but I can't think of a lot right now. One I can think of was a parmesan cheese grater. I rarely buy fresh parmesan, I think I've only bought it once in my life!

A mood ring. I was fascinated with them and paid $69 for one. Just a few months later you could find them everywhere for about $5.

Let's see- using only what I know I always have on hand it would have to be Shepherd's Pie- vegetarian style. Or a pizza from Dimitri's on the corner! Trish

"Rear Window", "To Catch a Thief" and "North by Northwest". And I second the nomination of 'swoon worthy' for Cary Grant. Not only was he one of the most handsome men on the face of the earth, but he had great comedic timing, as well. Remebber "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House", "Bringing Up Baby" and "Arsenic and Old Lace"? And it's known that he was as kind as he was handsoms. What a combination! "No money, no material reward is comparable to the praise, the shouts of well done and accompanying pat on the back of one's fellowman. Applause and laughter in the theater have a similar effect; and sometimes, today, I stand with Russell Downing, the manager of the finest, largest cinema in the world, the Radio City Music Hall in New York, in a quiet darkened corner, and listen to that huge audience roaring with laughter at something I've done, the tilt of my head or a facial reaction, and joy seems to burst within me." -- Cary Grant 1963

You bet. I just got home yesterday from a bus trip to Tama, Iowa. An overnight trip. I've also been to Las Vegas 7 or 8 times. Butch and I were married there on 3/23/93 at 3:30 (I like the # thing). We also stopped in Reno on our way home from our Seattle/Oregon trip in 1998. I go over to the boats in Council Bluffs, Iowa once or twice a year. Linda, I think they've improved the smoke problem a lot in the last few years. They also have NON-smoking areas in most casinos too. Leslie

A few years ago, I thought the Donna Dewberry One Stroke painting was beautiful and somehow convinced myself that I could learn to do that. I bought videos, books, brushes, and all sorts of practice sheets. Just sold them all on Ebay.

A Jeep. I took DH to see it and I ignored all the little "red flags". The seller was a smooth talker. That thing was a money pit.

The self cleaning kitty litter box that I bought last year. It is now stored in my garage along with the dog crate that Jake hated. They cost close to $100 each!

The white broom/vac that was on TV about 10-12 years ago- my mom and I each got one and hated it, it was feeble and pathetic. I think we paid about $50 for each one and probably got $2 for it at a yard sale. lol

Learned my lesson after that, I haven't bought anything since unless I've personally tried it first. I LOVE my Swiffer rechargable vacuum.

The 0 degree sleeping bag. It is to big for my panniers. I got a new one, that fits in there now. I will never buy another one, without taking a pannier along to make sure it fits.

Can't remember what, at the moment - must have been something!

An expensive vacuum cleaner that I didn't need. I bought it just to help my niece out which would have given her a $50 bonus. Afterwards, I thought I should have just given her the $50.

Oh...there are way too many to list. But not nearly as many as there is on DH's list. LOL
