Oh geez karla..........I'm so sorry!! I'm just glad you're okay. Doing the splits after age 20 is dangerous! I'm afraid I would have broke in half! They probably would have had to call the fire department to get me up and out! haha Could the rock have punctured the satellite dish? If not, where's the water going? Is it going underneath the tarp? I personally would try to buy a good liner, since you don't want to have to do this again any time soon, but someone in another thread said they used their shower curtain. I suppose anything that can hold water will work, but you want it to last. Some nurseries have little pond sections, but not many. I've seen liners at big box stores, but they might be made of PVC stuff, rather than the EDPM stuff. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in here. I just have stocktanks, and don't have to deal with liners. I'm sorry your family is being hard on you. You AREN'T nuts. You're doing something that gives you (and hopefully others) alot of pleasure for just a little money. I think its a wonderful thing! Good luck to you karla, and I'm so sorry for your slip. Hi Karen I gave plumeria that size away before I left California. I also gave away all my potted bananas and most of my other tropicals. I only brought a few small plants with me, including a few plumeria. This is why I have been buying so many cuttings on eBay. I am rebuilding my collection of tropical plants. The stuff I brought with me over wintered well in the guest bathtub and just went outside. Next winter I will have to make other arraignments, because I would prefer not to stuff my house with several thousand plants like Karyn B. There are some plants that I will not buy again because I donÂt know how I would over winter them. Who am I kidding; I will wind up as an elderly plant man, with a house full of plants, grow lights, Osmocote, pea gravel, rooting hormone, pumice, and potting soil! Plumeria can grow into huge trees. Some varieties are naturally smaller and more compact. I used to not care that much about growth habit, but now that I have to deal with winter storage, I am avoiding varieties that I know tend to grow very tall and lanky. I am also concentrating on quality. PayPal notified me that Sandy purchased postage to send me the cuttings I bought from her. I also bought a Pink Dwarf Singapore cutting from a seller named Evelyn. This plant tops out at six feet and takes many years to get there. You must be very sore after repotting those plants. The only similar potting nightmare I had was with a clump of rojo bananas. I put one pup in a large tree pot and several years latter had to deal with dividing the resulting cluster of plants. It was a major struggle to get the solid mass of corms and roots out of the pot. After that, separating it out into eight smaller divisions and repotting them took quite a while. I kept four of the new divisions and found homes for the others. I was dreading having to do it again. I am thinking of putting a Basjoo banana in the ground in my front yard. It would survive here. Dwarf Orinoco is one of the hardiest edible types and might survive up against the south side of the house with a little winter protection. It feels odd not to have mats of banana plants in the yard. If nothing else, I have to obtain a super dwarf again. Other people feel the same way about roses, brugs, or some other plant group they are fond of. Philip

I am going to add my review to yours -- I have had the 432 model for a couple weeks now. I chose they 432 because I didn't really understand the difference between the 432 and the 542 but I did want the extra rinse option. Anyhow, the good... -The cycles are super fast. Every load of laundry I've done has been done in 30 minutes. Honestly, my dryer can hardly keep up with it! -Love that the lid does not lock. I like to take a peek and make sure I've added enough detergent and the water level is high enough. (not sure why it stops agitating -- I could watch my 10 year old Maytag wash the clothes). - It's simple. I wanted a machine that my 14 year old could use without getting into trouble. Now for the not so good... -Cycles are super fast -- but sometimes I wonder if it actually washed the clothes long enough. The rinse cycle is particularly short which some people may not like. -It does not fill to the top. This was not a problem until I put a set of king size sheets in there. Could have used more water. I used the reset feature to add more but the manual does warn against doing this (could cause the washer to overflow - not sure how). What I am unsure of: -Still not sure why it says to put detergent in the washer, then the clothes, then start. I like to dissolve my detergent in the water before adding clothes. Is there some reason I can't do this? - The Delicate cycle -- I only used it once and I wonder if there is something wrong. It barely agitates and spends most the cycle just sitting there soaking. Maybe its idea of delicate is not actually washing the clothes! Overall, I am pleased but I'd rather have my 10 year old Maytag still working and have $800 in my bank account!

fishpants- I remember you from the BAF forum, and if it's any consolation, we've been in our house 5 years and the kitchen color has changed twice, and will change again before the good weather is back. Sometimes we just have to live in the spaces to know what really works and sometimes some of are a wee bit obsessive about paint (that would be me). I also think a green would work, but nothing minty or too evergreen, IMO a strong, rich color is needed to hold its own against the strong wood hues and the tall ceilings. We have BM Medieval Times, a rich, kinda/sorta acid green in our hallway and it's paired with black trim and cherry stairs (similar to the lyptus). From the monitor on my laptop the green in your stone counter pulls slightly acid, the Medieval Times or the next one up, Folklore, might work well in your space. WRT backsplash, that always seems like such a personal decision, why, I don't know. Anyway, FWIW I could see some mini bricks (not squares or the more mod elongated rectangles) of some metal finish, depending on your preference I can see stainless, pewter, brass or copper all working in your space. You could also go with glass bricks, again not the super modern ones, just solid color (ahem, green) mini bricks. You could even go with solid color Mexican Talavera, thick, handmade looking tiles, maybe creamy white with accents of green and/or red, tying into your FP accent tiles (not screeching "Merry @#$%^&* Xmas") or a more moorish look (think beekeeperswife's backsplash, in a cream or even green if they make one). I would also look at Pratt and Larson's website, they have stunning tiles with rich, strong colors that would work in your space (IMO of course). It's dreary and dark here still, but when it brightens up I'll take a pic of the Medieval Green and post it. Good luck- sandyponder
