Anyone else sleepless wherever you are?

12:58 a.m., and I can't sleep. Dogs are snuggled in, one is snoring. I hope everyone else is sleeping soundly.

I was sleeping soundly. But woke up way before the alarm.... and just laid there this time.

Now, got to get ready for work.

I was up all night! Aaaalll night. Until 3:30 am. If I'd known someone else was up, I'd have been over here. I could've kept you company.

Hey everyone. I just finished applying the Bayer Bermuda Grass Control RTS (ready to spray) to my grass infested with stilt grass. The weather has been so dry here in Central NJ that there has not been adequate soil moisture conducive to an herbicide application unless the turf was under irrigation, which mine is not. After a week or so, I will post my findings to the forum. This herbicide is not available in New Jersey (I tried ordering it through my wholesaler at work) but you can purchase it online. It is a homeowner product unlike Acclain Extra which is for turf professionals. Wish me luck!

i'm being weaned off my meds, been on them for 10 years, this is the last 3 months i'll get, I'm freaking out as I was LITERALLY homicidal, trying to take 1/2 dose for 1 mo, not working, haven't slept for 1 mo. i'm irritable like crazy, can't even stand myself anymore. So i went back to taking full dose which there's maybe 2 months left. I'm searching for HELP. I have all the symptoms STRONG. Hot flashes like crazy, no sleep, exhausted when home from work, just want to be alone.

We're only in the early stages of remodeling the kitchen we built (emphasis on the WE, not professionals who actually knew what they were doing) 25 years ago. We're in Phase One of who knows how many phases...but anyway, while discussing possibilities a few weeks ago, I noticed--FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 25 YEARS--that my DH neglected to put a piece of trim in front of one cabinet up where it meets the soffit. My first reaction was of course to be horrified at such a thing, but then I realized that absolutely no one, including me who has practically lived my life in that kitchen, had ever noticed for a quarter of a century that the piece of trim was missing. Hope I can keep that perspective as we move through the phases! I'm definitely going to depend on this forum to help me!

I have trouble sleeping frequently. I will wake up at 2:30-3:00 am and not be able to get back to sleep. I come in and get on the computer for awhile. Sometimes I can get back to sleep and sometimes I stay up.
I'll have to start checking in here more often.

Fell asleep at 10:30, woke up at 3:30, read a book for an hour or so, fell back to sleep and didn't wake up until 9:15!! I hate sleeping late. Wish I could just go to bed and sleep straight through for eight hours, but I rarely do.

Went to bed about 11:30 last night and the moment my head hit the pillow, my nose stuffed up completely. Even with my bed raised at the head, I couldn't find a comfortable position. Got up and took an Allegra. Last time I looked at the clock it was nearly 2. Then at 3:40, I woke up to my husband shaking me. I was having a dream where someone was chasing me and he said I was physically running while laying on my back. Went back to sleep and woke up to the alarm at 6 am. Got up and fixed hubby breakfast, ate with him and then the dogs and I crawled back in bed as we do each morning. 7:30, I got up to go to exercise class. Its been a long day but I want to watch Hostages so I will be up till 11:00 tonight.

I rarely sleep through the night. I used to be an 8 hour a night sleeper, and didn't do well during the day if I got less.

These days, I'm lucky if I get 6, and it's usually more like 5.

I go to sleep between 9 and 10:30 and will wake up between 1:30 and 3:00. Sometimes I go back to bed, and sometimes I don't.

I don't like sleeping later either, and anything after 8 is sleeping late. I'm a morning person, and feel the day is half gone.

Wow. I know where to come now in middle of the night! I wake up regularly between 1:30-2-:30 and usually stay awake for about 90 minutes and then go back to sleep until 6:30-7. I've been playing games on my ipad until I can't stay awake. Been having weird dreams too! I'm almost 56....you guys about the same?

I didn't have a very good night either. Not that I ever do get a good nights sleep. When I got home at 3 yesterday afternoon from work, I had a slight pain in my chest. I finally told my DH at 10:30 when I went to bed. He asked me if I wanted him to call the ambulance and I said no.So we talked a bit and went to sleep. I woke up at 1:30 and I started talking again and he said he had some nitroglycerin pills. I thought if we are going to call an ambulance, maybe I shouldn't take one because then I didn't know if they could get and accurate blood pressure reading. I came out and looked on the internet what the pills do in the first place and I decided not to take one. I went back to sleep woke up at 5:30. I said I think you should take me to the hospital. It is 40 miles away. I don't have insurance and that's why I was debating whether to go or not. We got up and started getting dressed and I said it doesn't hurt anymore. I went to work. It was about 7 when I called an EMT to check my blood pressure. I couldn't get a hold of the first one I called and The next one I called said she would get someone out there for me. He checked it and said it was 170 over I don't remember the bottom number. He said he didn't think it was my heart. By then I had already figured it out that I thought I had a rib out of place and that's what was causing it. I worked until almost 3 and went to my chiropractor and I had ribs out of place in the front and in the back. She took my blood pressure and it was 142. I am glad that's all it is was. I know some of you will probably say I should still go to the doctor. That is much easier to say if you have insurance and I am satisfied with what I found out. I have had ribs out of place before and it is just what it felt like. A person has a hard time inhaling air and it is like you are not getting enough oxygen.

I had a terrible time trying to fall asleep last night also! What is it--the moon phase?? I take a low dose aspirin every day, but always have a "chewable" baby aspirin at my bedside. If I wake up around 2 - 3 a.m., I'll take the chewable then, and count it as my next morning's aspirin. Somehow, the baby aspirin seems to help me get relaxed and fall back to sleep a little easier. Don't have to get up and take the regular one with water. Mind over matter, probably, but whatever works. I'm tired tonight! Off to bed in a minute.....
